Increased Heart Rate

That’s what I’m experiencing at this moment. Why? Because I just got the call… my dress is in! I’m a little bit excited and a little bit nervous. I hope I still like it as much as I did when I bought it. Six months is so long to wait between the time you buy something and the time you receive it! Now I just need to find the time to pick it up. The store closes at 5 today. Would it be bad if I left work early to go get it? I’m not sure if I can hold out for another day knowing it is there waiting for me.

How long did you have to wait after you ordered your dress for it to arrive?

How exciting! I had to wait eight months for mine to come in — and then another week or so after I got the letter announcing its arrival (yup, letter, not phone call) to find a time when Mama and Sister Bruschetta could come with me! It’s staying at the salon through alterations, which is why I didn’t rush out immediately to whisk it home.

How exciting!! They estimated 6 months when I ordered my dress back in October…it came in 2 months earlier. I got the call while on a ski lift in Colorado and had to wait until I was both home from vacation and had time to drive to my hometown to pick it up….it was a L.O.N.G 3 weeks before I finally had her in my possession.

So I say leave early and go pick it up! :)

Have fun!!! I got mine in a couple of weeks ago too and was so excited to try it on. Then I went there and it didn’t fit me. I hope that yours fits you! It sucks to have to go through the ordeal of trying to lose weight now.

My dress was shipped to me, and I got the tracking number and watched very impatiently for it to arrive. In all, it was about 10 weeks from the time I ordered it. I figured there was no need to expedite the shipping since I was already quoted a timeframe of 10-12 weeks, but after I got that tracking number I really wished I’d spent the extra $20 to get it to me faster!

You should leave work early if you can, you know you might not get too much done!!

I bought my dress almost a year ahead of the wedding date, so I can relate to your nervousness about whether or not you like. Just remember, if you don’t love it the moment you see it, that’s ok too. I had a few moments with my dress where I really wasn’t a fan, and then had other times where I put it on and was completely in love with it. Nerves, bloating, scatter brained wedding planning (especially having to make a lot of decisions all the time) can make a girl second guess herself all the time. I’m sure it’s divine!

How exciting! Mine took about 3.5 months to come in. I was soooo excited when I got the call, but actually had to wait a week and a half to go in and meet my dress, because I couldn’t get there through the week, and my mom was out of town that first weekend.

I felt the EXACT same way- I was excited, but also a little anxious because I hoped that I would like it as much as I did when I decided to buy it. I also had the added element that I had ordered it in a champagne hue, even though they didn’t have that color in any dress throughout the store. So I was nervous I wasn’t going to like the color.

Once I got to the store and put my dress on, I LOVED IT! I seriously seriously looooved it. I wanted to twirl and spin around in it all day. Alas, the ladies at the store said I could stay as long as I wanted, but they wouldn’t let me sleep there! ;)

I think you should leave work early to check it out… this is the peak of your dress excitement, so why not relish in it!?!

How exciting!! I’ve only had one fitting and don’t have another for a few weeks and it was so exciting. I won’t actually get to take the dress home until after the wedding- so I have to soak it all in during my fittings.

I ordered mine in October and it just came in a couple of weeks ago! Of course I’m in LA, and my parents are in San Diego where we purchased it, so it’s hanging in my room at home and I won’t get to see it for another couple of weeks!!!

As hard as it is to wait, it’s all part of the excitement and anticipation, and will make you all the more ecstatic when it arrives!
