Flower Girl Attire

March 26th, 2009 @ 5:04 pm by Mrs. Mascara

I’ve been looking for some cute flower girl dresses for little Ali, and came up with a few cute ones.

The first two are from Fox ’n Lily, and at $220 and $230, they are out of our price range.

I found this dress on eBay from seller goodgirldress. It is similar to the style of my dress and is only about $45.

Then I found this dress from Etsy seller TheBoutiqueBaby.

It is so adorable! It’s just one more reason why I love Etsy. And it’s still reasonable at $54. I think I’m going to ask her if she’ll make it in ivory.

Where did you find good deals on flower girl dresses?

Oh my gosh I love the last one! :) So freakin’ adorable! My FMIL is making my flower girl dress, she has mad skills, but I’m definitely going to show her a picture of this one!

Target! We found a cute little white number at Target we’re dressing up with a fun bow in a fun fabric.

That last one is way adorable! Its Easter season—hit Target, Macys, Penneys, etc…

Right now is a GREAT time to shop at major retailers…think Easter Dresses.

I found my flower girl dress in Ivory at Dillard’s (they had the largest selection of the few stores I went to) and paid around $70. And it was a dress that also included a bolero-style jacket. Very cute.

They had a pretty good selection on colors, too…

These are all so cute…I love the little girls who are in the dresses…they make them even cuter! But I agree…spending $230-250 is crazy for a flower girl dress. If you can hand it down to someone after the wedding that would be nice…but still I think we will probably only spend $20-$50 on ours. Now that Easter is next month I’ve seen a lot of cute dresses that would fit for a flower girl at stores like Target or Sears. I dont want to buy just yet though…our weddings next April!

Ebay!! I found the most darling $300 flower girl dress…and knew immediately that I didn’t want to spend more than $50 on something that (like MY dress) will only be worn once! So I turned to ebay and BAM! A perfect immitation of what I was looking at! So cute!!

That last one is sssssssssssuper cute! I think also after Easter, you can usually find good deals on Easter dresses that could double as a flower girl dress.

Burlington Coat Factory — or anywhere else that sells little white confirmation dresses.

I love that last etsy dress!! I have been having issues finding a cute, affordable flower girl dress, too. I can’t justify spending more than $50-$70 on a little girl’s dress. She’ll grow out of it by the end of summer anyway! My mom and I are gonna check out Macys tomorrow (supposedly they are having a sale). Thanks for the post!!

It’s funny how they can charge so much for such little fabric… must be the cute-factor that sells.

I am actually having the first dress (Chloe) recreated by a local seamstress for less than 1/2 the price for my flower girl! I love Fox and Lily and fell in love with their dresses but agree that is a lot of money for a dress for a little girl!

I love the pink one! Seriously, I could buy everything for my wedding on Etsy. Someone should totally do that!

I ended up finding our FG dresses at JCPenny. My FG’s aren’t “cute, little” sizes so were only able to find our selection at department stores. Target has some adorable dresses!

Definitely keep your eyes open for Easter dresses at departments stores, or even a Target, TJ Max or Ross. There are all sorts of super cute, fancy little girls dresses in stores right now, to get the little ones fancied up in time for Easter. :) Or, you can even wait till after Easter for a bigger discount, but your selection will be more limited.

I love etsy! so cute! My SIL is getting the dress online - I forget the name but I’ll try to find out! I can’t imagine that some people pay $300 for a little girl’s dress… wow

I found a great deal during Easter last year at Marshalls - $29 for the cutest ivory dresses with pearl details. The girls loved them and received many compliments!

I got a great price ($21) @ Sears in their Easter dress section. My fiance works there so we got an additional percentage off the sale price! yay! and the dress has lace that matches my dress!

Love the Esty dress. I got my flower girl’s dress from JCrew during their final sale. All the girls are sporting JCrew dresses, including me.

For great little one’s prices you must visit http://www.mygirldress.com. I got all 4 of my flower girls dresses from there and the juniors bridesmaid dress. The quality was great and they have lots of styles to chose from!

This is what I used in my November ‘08 wedding:
JBM’s Dress in fuchsia: http://www.mygirldress.com/hanesaflgidr.html

FG’s Dress:http://www.mygirldress.com/sigrshsiflgi.html (a flower is attached to the front and the back by a safety pin. We moved the front flower to the back.)

My wedding will be in the spring, so I figure we can get a couple matching Easter dresses or so for my 2 flower girls. :)
