So, The Cohens sent me almost 500 pictures of just me getting my makeup done, putting on my dress and our “first look”. It was so hard going through them all because they were all SO FLIPPING FANTASTIC. Each and every picture was awesome. Kenny and Josh basically locked themselves into their photo lab and had this first set of pictures to us 4 days after our wedding. I mean, if that’s not the sign of an amazing photography team, I don’t know what is.
Our wedding was everything I wanted it to be, and so much more. Everything from the decorations to the food to the flowers… seeing family and friends… getting to marry my absolute best friend… I can’t even describe it, but I’ll try….
The day started off with getting our hair done by Danielle of Sola Salon and Spa. She worked her magic on my stick-straight-hair and made it stay in curls all day. Thanks, Danielle! We don’t have any pictures of that because I have a strict “no pictures before I’ve had food and/or makeup” policy. So, our hair was done and we started eating yummy cupcakes from The Cupcakery, brought over by my DOC, Liane. More on her later.

On to the makeup… I did a test run with Chanel and MAC and wasn’t very happy with either of the results. I was feeling a little defeated until I went over to Bobbi Brown at Nordstrom one day and met Angie R. I did a trial with her and booked her on the spot! She was under my budget and really easy to work with. I have never felt so beautiful in my entire life!

That’s Josh Cohen, one of our photographers, in the shot with me. I forgot he was working and I chatted his ear off that morning while my bridesmaids looked on and my fabulous sister folded my laundry.

This is me, my sister, and Angie. That hair! That hair! That was the best it has ever looked!

Don’t I have the most beautiful sister? If she wasn’t there the entire week helping me stay sane, I would have had major meltdowns. (Uh, sorry about that one little bridezilla moment I had on you in the car, Jenny. XOXO)

That morning I woke up with a wedding day zit. I looked all around for some Windex, but I guess we were out.
Good thing Angie did a good job covering that big nasty thing up!

I had this big goofy grin on my face the entire day! I had my sister with me, my best girls at my side, and my groom was waiting downstairs for me. Life is good!
After getting pampered, it was time to write last minute checks. Ouch.

And time to put some lotion on my scaly-dry legs and back. Hey, I live in the desert… I have an excuse!

Okay! Hair and makeup done! Next up: putting on my dream dress and getting a huge surprise from Daddy Dumpling. Stay tuned!
