Another Option for the Pews

March 30th, 2009 @ 6:15 pm by Mrs. Mascara

I’m still looking for something to decorate the pews of the church. Here is a contender that I’m considering:

Another Option for the Pews : wedding ceremony decor Mswpap

These wreaths are so cool, and I love that they are monochromatic. It makes them so much less Christmas-y, and so much more elegant. And there are even instructions on how to make them. Thanks Martha!

What creative ways have you come up with for pew decor?

Agreed! I was thinking about using these for my winter wedding too! (Gotta love MS.) We ended up using tulle b/c our church doesn’t have wooden pews. The wreaths would have been too heavy for the fabric on the chairs to handle.

I’m using Mrs. Peach’s idea for pew decor–prisms decorated with ribbons filled with baby’s breath! I love them

Not for the pews…but for the walls instead I’m having my students make a Word Cloud for me using http://www.wordle.net and then printing it out in color, backing it on nice cardstock and hanging it with a ribbon…. I did it for another teacher with her students and they turned out soooo cute! :) Just an idea! :)

I was thinking of the same pew inspiration! It’s chic, simple, and crafty!

Then I realized I could have my florist make six small pew decorations (using white dahlias and ribbon to match me decor) that we can un-clip and use to decorate our individual DIY cakestand centerpieces! She’s attaching the clips in a way that will be easily removed and re-purposed by my bridesmaid. :)

I’m going to just decorate three rows per side, alternating every other row, to decorate the “in the ribbon” designated area.

Given the double duty, the pittance per pew decoration is worth the floral cost!

@Miss Popcorn: Miss Popcorn, I love that idea because my fiance and I teach a lot of the same students! How big do you think you’ll make it and where are you going to hang it? Thanks!

I’m using these fuschia and black bows I found on E-bay. They perfectly match my colors and $60 for 24 of them is a steal!!

Scroll down after spools of tulle to see what I bought

Those are very pretty! A much more affordable alternative to flowers for the pews. Martha rocks :)

I like those. We have chairs instead of pews, so I’m trying to think of something to hang from them or set on the floor beside them.
