Wedding Day Bling

March 31st, 2009 @ 1:52 pm by Mrs. Mascara

I’ve been meaning to show you some pictures of the jewelry I picked out to wear on the wedding day. I wanted a bigger bracelet, but nothing too trendy. I picked out a few cuffs, but decided those would fall more in the trendy category. I think this bracelet from Macy’s is perfect, and it’s definitely something I’ll wear again.

Since the stones are oval, I thought my earrings should have a similar shape, but I couldn’t find any earrings with oval stones.

I decided that a pear shape would be the next best thing. To be honest, I’m still unsure about the earrings. The top stone is a little bigger than I’d like it to be. I’m saving the receipt in case I find a pair I like more. As always, I’m open to suggestions.

Both items are from Crislu’s silver platinum collection. Apparently the silver is not supposed to tarnish, which is good! Of course the stones are cubic zirconia, as I am not made of money, but I don’t think they look fake like some others I’ve seen.

I purchased both pieces the day after I signed up for a Macy’s credit card, so I got 20% off. It ended up being a significant savings. Plus, since we have a wedding registry there, I’ll get another 10% back in the form of in-store credit after the wedding! I was proud of myself for getting such a good deal.

I’m still undecided in the necklace category. I’m thinking it might be a little much. Do you think adding a necklace to this ensemble will be too much?

All photos are my own.

That’s some very pretty bling! I haven’t finalized my jewelry choices yet, but thanks for the reminder that I need to do that!

I like those earrings with the bracelet. I guess it depends on how you wear your hear and the neckline of your dress.

A complete set of jewelry isn’t too much, and not wearing a necklace isn’t too little. It’s like FutureMrsMorgan said, it depends on the neckline of the dress!!

I love your jewelry, and I think the necklace depends on your whole look, it could be perfect or the one thing that you may not need. But I would say your earrings are smaller tear drops so you could get away with a some nice neck bling too!

I say it depends on the neckline of your dress, and your personal style.

But I love necklaces, so I would probably wear one if I were you.

That’s a very pretty bracelet. You can wear all the jewelry, or just what you like best once you try it all on with the dress.

Pretty!! Does the bracelet have a blue tint to the center stones?am I imagining that it does because I want to wear blue stones? =) Great Pics…

So I was just at Bailey Banks and Biddle (in the Washington DC area though) and I almost bought earrings that are very similar to your bracelet…ovall, with diamonds around a light blue stone…plus they were 50% off so I think they were around $400. Not sure if you have one in the area, but might be worth checking out. But your jewelry is very pretty either way :)

as far as weddings go, i am a fan of more is more, so i say go for a necklace! the earrings aren’t too long, so you could pull it off.

i will admit, though, that i am having the same problem! my earrings are just a tiny bit longer than yours, but the necklace is just too perfect to give up. i won’t decide if i’ll wear it or not until that moment i think!

Gorge! I think you’ll have to play around with the necklace once you are for sure what your hair and neckline will look like. Or maybe you already know…Either way, the bracelet and the earrings are going to be stunning solo or with the necklace!

The bracelet is exquisite! I think you could wear a necklace IF YOU want to. The website SimplyIrresistibleJewelry.com has similar earrings, but the top is smaller and almost a heart shape–pretty! They also have a necklace that matches the earrings. That might keep it simple. At least you have some time to experiment! Great pics!

I love that bracelet! I agree that wearing a necklace depends on your hair/neckline.

gorgeous! i say go without a necklace so you don’t distract from the style of yr dress (no matter what neckline it is).

I love the bracelet….and from looking at the style you’ve chosen, it doesn’t *seem* like a necklace would be too much…but as others said…it really depends on the dress :-)
