Hot Hot Heels

April 3rd, 2009 @ 1:46 pm by Mrs. Meatball

***Mr. M, there are details in here about my rehearsal dinner outfit. For the love of surprises, I command you to avert your eyes! Thanks, baby! :)****
__________

Um, people, my rehearsal shoes are like whoa.

Has your love for a pair of shoes ever crept up on you? You know, when you look at a pair, cock your head, and think, ’um, no,’ but you can’t look away, and suddenly you find yourself thinking dirty thoughts about them and realize you luuuuuuve them? Where it’s almost like a pair of shoes are actively seducing you?

(*crickets*)

Well, maybe it’s just me. But that’s exactly what these babies did to me.

These in particular:

They are eversosexy on my feet.

But what’s so exciting about them is their innovative design. They’re from the brand-spanking new company, Opposites Attract, and all of their designs have a customizable quality.

See the doily-looking business under the ruffle at the back, on the gold shoe? It is a snap-on addition. The shoe came with those, and another tempting alternative.

FRINGE! Oh.ma.ga. Unfortunately they don’t have a photo of it on a lighter shoe, so it’s easier to see. My gold shoes came with sort of a darker gold, coppery fringe.

I could also wear them without either snap-on, and let just the ruffle be there. Right now, I’m leaning toward the doily. It’s just so very…. bridal! And it matches my rehearsal dress (a hotttt, chalk colored little BCBG number with a feather hem that I got at the outlet mall for $80 down from $460!!!!!), so I think it will tie the outfit together quite nicely.

The thick heel makes them very comfortable, so I’m not worried about being crippled after a night in them, rehearsing, mingling and dining. I know they’ll be versatile and useful beyond the wedding too, but I sure can’t wait to sport them for that special night! Honestly, y’all, I’m loving these shoes so much, I might run off and have babies with them.

How about you - have you ever been unwittingly seduced by a pair of shoes?

I LOVE how unique those heels are! OMG! okay you need to do your own “shoe shot” for the rehearsal dinner. =D

ahahahhhaha. I love shoes and earrings. Shoes and earrings. I’ve had two ultimate dreams when it comes to my wedding -okay 3 including a kick a$$ photographer- Jimmy Choos and Vera Wang. I’m not getting the Vera Wang bc quite simply I was seduced by the name Vera Wang but find I like Jim Hjelm much better and will probably be getting a “Jim Hjelm Inspired”. So I’m left with my Jimmy Choos. I AM getting a pair of uber sexy red Jimmy Choo sandals. Yeah, yeha, I know they are expensive. I have been prowling eBay, I have a saved search. And just last week RueLaLa had a $790 pair of Jimmy Choos for $290. Non shoe lovers might puke at the idea of spending $290 on a pair of shoes. But it’s one of my splurges. =D
Disclaimer: On a daily basis I refuse to pay more than $20 for a pair of shoes OR jeans. So I think I deserve to be CRAZY on my wedding day. Thank you very much.

haha, yeah though it was a pair of nikes. ones i’m wearing right now. i think i spent about 30 minutes [at different intervals] staring at them before realizing i was in love with them. so much so that i was relieved that they didn’t have a pair in my sister’s size [i was shoe shopping for her birthday present] which meant i could covet them by myself. now they’re my favorite pair!

oohhhh i forgot, yes i’ve been seduced by a pair of red satin heels and i’m planning to use them despite our wedding colors are apple green/white/silver…
i know they won’t ‘match’ and someone already said that red shoes paired to white gown and green decorations, it’s turning my wedding ‘very mexican’ (because of our flag)…
i don’t really care! i love my shoes so much!

LOVE YOUR SHOES!!! And I agree about the doily attachment! Gives them that added bridal touch. And there’s a BCBG outlet here in Orlando… LOVE IT!!! I got an awesome dress for $30 which was down from $160! ;)
