Chop Chop

Several months prior to our wedding day, I couldn’t wait for it to be over with. Not because I was ready for it to be over with, but because I couldn’t wait to chop my hair off. I did just that on Saturday, less than two weeks after our big day, on my 24th birthday.

As I sat in the stylist’s chair, watching my long hair fall to the floor, my pulse raced. I’ve only had short hair maybe twice in my life, so this was a big change for me. A big change that I absolutely love and kind of regret not doing sooner. Nevertheless, I love how my hair looked on our wedding day, and love how it looks now.

Do you plan to dramatically change your hair prior to, or after your wedding day?

I chopped mine last summer, right before my FI proposed. I do have to say, I loved it when I got it, but I wish I had longer hair now that my wedding is comming up!

i have dread locks and have been growing them for 7 yearsv (one year longer than me and my FI have been together!). i think that within of a year of our wedding, i’d like to cut them off and start anew. besides, its a brand new stage of my life, right?

I am realizing this is the “trend”
All the blogs I follow…the girls always chop of thier hair after the wedding
And you know what, I think I will be jsut like all those girls
You grow it out and can’t cut it what you are engaged. It is so nice to get to have a chance. And just in time for summer!

How cute! My fiance would be too disasppointed if I “chopped” my hair off though-so I won’t be doing that! =) My hair is only a couple inches below my shoulders, so I may have a “trim” done

BTW-I LOVE YOUR CAKE!! I had a very similar one for my college graduation!

I’m doing the opposite. For our entire relationship I had long hair, then a year into our engagement I cut my hair into a bob. I like it, but it just doesn’t feel totally “me”, so I will be wearing extensions for the wedding and growing it back out afterwards! Silly I know, but I just can’t find shorter hair styles I like for the wedding- I have fine, thin hair, and a small head! And it doesn’t look the greatest pulled up- it would look like a little nub!
