After having an incredible shower/party weekend in Ohio a month ago, I count myself as being doubly blessed to celebrate with my Chicago gang as well last weekend. Chi-bridesmaids Nic & Andrea made the journey to Ohio with me, and along with my other best, best friend Chi-bridesmaid Carrie, another incredible weekend ensued.
I feel like I say it all the time - and I’m going to say it again - I feel so lucky to have such an amazing group of friends and family! Ohio-bridesmaid Beth and Sister Quiche Nen traveled to Chicago on Friday, which just made the weekend even sweeter.
Saturday started off with… wait for it… picking up my dress from the tailor!! YEAH! But, you’ll have to wait only a few short weeks to see it! 
Rest assured, it is PERFECT. We even had time for Beth to hit up the salon, Nen to hit up Sweet Mandy B’s for cupcakes, and me to hit up the gym before getting ready for the shower. With all of the activity, it really was such a relaxing weekend!
BMs Carrie, Nicole & Andrea set up the perfect shower for me - High Tea at the Ritz Carlton. I love tea (and let’s be honest, who doesn’t love a tiny sandwich?).

After the shower, a group of us headed back to our house to get ready for dinner at Quartino, one of my favorite Italian tapas-esque spots downtown. It was a perfect “bachelorette party”!
Our friend (and groomsman!) B-Fresh was having a party that night. Mr. Quiche would be there, along with a lot of our other friends. So rather than head out for a wild night on the town, we instead opted for a wild night in, at Chez Patel.

What a fun weekend! I loved having my sister and Bethany here to celebrate. While she’s met almost all of the Chicago crew before, it was nice for everyone to spend more time with each other before we all meet up again - in JAMAICA!
Were you able to have friends from all parts of your life get together before your big day?

Champagne, scones, clotted cream, Darjeeling, and great Italian food…how much more perfect can you get?!

Yay! The tea party gave me a sneak peak into what it’ll be like for my bridesmaids’ luncheon! I wish Americans would adopt tea hour like the Brits… 
I’ve never been to a “real” tea party, but it looks super cute — as does Mini Quiche!

@Miss Labrador: Me too! Out hotel in Jamaica is run by British ex-pats (I think) & they have high tea everyday. Yeah!
Love love love the high tea! Tea rooms are my favorite, but I’ve certainly never done the Ritz’s high tea before! Great shower idea!
Sooo cute!!!! OMG I want to eat all of it! The girls did a tea for my engagement party - the sandwiches are amazing.
It looks like it was so much fun! Mini Quiche is adorable! There is an official tea room at our wedding venue…I’d love to have a little tea party there sometime. Maybe a few days before the wedding. Thanks for the post!
Do’s and Dont’s in bachelorette party planning :
Don’t wait till the last minute to make your plans.
Do plan your event 2 months in advance.
Don’t drink heavily at the beginning of the night.
Do instruct your group to pace their drinking.
Don’t over indulge at dinner.
Do have a sensible meal.
Don’t be late for your plans.
Do set your start time an hour ahead of schedule.
Don’t allow your guests too much say in your plans.
Do instruct your guests that “this is what the bride wants”
Don’t assume planning a bachelorette party is like any other girls night out.
Do take into account that you are taking a large group around with you where ever you go.
