So. Here we are. I am getting married in 10 short days. I’ve finally started stalking the weather, checking in hour by hour to ensure that our outdoor ceremony will go off without a hitch. But that’s a different story. This story is about the various accessories I have been collecting that will complete my wedding day ensemble.

These are my something old (pearl earrings that were a gift from my parents a few years ago), something borrowed (my sister’s pearl necklace, as mine is about 2 inches longer and would compete with the neckline on my dress), and my something blue (my engagement ring).

Above is my lovely J Crew clutch that I procured at the same time as my wedding shoes. The embroidered fabric sticking out the top is something I had made that lists my birth name and date, followed by my wedding date and new name. My mother is going to stitch it inside of the clutch. We also have my wedding day fragrance, the BEST lip gloss ever, and a pack of blue monogrammed tissues.

The wedding shoes - one of the many items that would qualify for my something new or blue, as I adorned the soles with blue crystals. The left says “I Do”, while the right has our wedding date.

A few of the other new (and one blue) items - my veil, hair flower, and garter. The veil is actually the second I have purchased, as the first was too short. This one is a 2-tier cathedral length modified mantilla. The hair pin is from the Crew, and matches the clutch perfectly (gotta tie it all together!), and the garter is ivory silk adorned with Italian lace and mini navy blue bows - too cute!

And lastly, the wedding undergarments - the adorable Hanky Panky “I Do” panties (BTW, Hanky Pankys are the best undies on the planet!), and once again, my garter.
