Coconut Recap: Details Galore!

April 14th, 2009 @ 3:59 pm by Mrs. Coconut

Hey Hive! Remember me? So, I’m still working on wedding recaps, and by working, I mean slacking, big time. Here are a few of my favorite detail shots from the wedding. Jason Angelini did an amazing job capturing everything.

1

2

I really miss my bouquet. It was so fragrant and gorgeous!

3

I like this one because you can see the detail of the stitching on the programs. Those were so much fun to make!

4

Here is the poster we had our family and bridal party sign. We put it at the entrance to the reception.

5

6

Our seating chart! We bought a foam board, and wrapped some fabric around it.

Our gorgeous cake!

9

Yup, your suspicions are correct, those are the beautiful Ann Wood birds.

10

Here’s our gorgeous cake sign made by the amazing Laura Hooper!

11

I got some Moo cards printed with our engagement pictures, and printed our Flickr login on the flip side for people to upload pictures!

12

13

14

15

I made these chair signs in two minutes! I got some pretty paper from a local scrapbooking store and printed the signs on my inkjet.

16

Here’s a sign near all of our wedding favors, which are from Daffy Apple.

17

Our slideshow, which used clothespins and twine.

Flip flops from Old Navy with a DIY sign. They were a huge hit with the ladies!

Swoon your tablescape is AMAZING. I want to offer up flip flops to our guests also because my venue has a strict shoes on policy. I have no idea how many to buy and how many of each size? How did you? Any tips?

Thanks for all the wonderful comment love ladies!!!!

@Miss Taffy: I bought the veil off etsy, somethingboldveils.

@krissybee: They are from Chicago-based, Carousel Linens.

@sarsk624: I just ordered a variety of 6-8 size, and then a few 9 and 10s. Everyone seemed happy.

@Miss Staticgirl_77: I had etsy seller Unlesssomeonelikeyou make the digital file, and then I had it printed locally. I believe the size is 13×19? A Moo card are just tiny cards with pictures. Go to Moo dot com and check them out!

@lori: I want to say the total for 100 apples was about $200? Their prices are online, it’s just tricky to find. I ordered everything online. Good luck!

@markyk: I think our DOC put them on a chair against the wall, it was pretty visible to all the ladies.

@Janelle: We bought the ties from Stein Mart. The socks were from J.Crew.

Mrs. Coconut (message)  337 posts, Helper bee

@leenmachine: Oh, I had to have long tables. I just loved the look, and conversation was not forced among guests who didn’t know each other. It was also very easy to seat people.

@runnergiirl: My wedding band is actually from Helzberg! My only requirement was tiny pave diamonds, so I was willing to get a less expensive brand name. My engagement ring is a Crisscut emerald diamond bought in Mexico!

I am getting married and having my reception in the same place next March (ha Jason Angelini is doing the photography as well… small world) I LOVE what you did with the fireplace. I was knew we could add candles to the mantle but the idea of adding them to the actualy fire pit looks so good.

Just out of curiosity, I’ve heard mixed reviews on the mass Flickr account. Did people actually use it and, thus, you receive tons of pics you wouldn’t have otherwise? Or was it a total wash?

@lreighard1: No, we just used a regular ol’ easel. No one seemed to have trouble with it.

@Dawn: All of our tech savy guests uploaded their pictures, and within about 2 weeks, it was actually really great! Notwithstanding though, the Pro Flickr account allowed us to upload our professional pictures, and organize them very easily. It gave our family an opportunity to easily download/view pictures.

@Miss sea spray: We bought it from etsy seller UnlessSomeoneLikeYou, she sent us the digital file and we had it printed locally.

@margaret: The ring was bought at Helzberg diamonds. I emailed you the links. For the others, the ring appears to come in a set online, but you can order just the band, it’s considered a “custom” order though in the sense that they don’t have them readily in stock. It’s not to suggest the band was pricey. It took about 6 weeks to arrive.
