I Am Sick.

April 14th, 2009 @ 11:23 am by Mrs. Peep Toe

Crap.

I Am Sick. : wedding health Sick

That’s how I feel.

I feel achy, have a sore throat, a runny nose, and sinus pressure.

So far today, I’ve had two glasses of Emergen-C, three cups of tea (two black, one herbal), two non-drowsy Benadryl, and a bunch of sore throat lozenges.

This is not a good time to be sick. Not only am I super busy at work, but I am supposed to jet off to Seattle on Friday morning for a fabulous Bachelorette that MOH/Sister Peep has planned.

I Am Sick. : wedding health Party201

I plan on working from home today to get some much needed rest!! So hive, tell me—what’s your best get-better-quick remedy?

Sleep, sleep, and more sleep. And some green tea in between.

Take a hot bath, put on sweats and a hoodie and take a nap under blankets. You’ll sweat a lot, but I ALWAYS feel better when I wake up. And drink lots of water.

O man :(
Last time I was sick I popped Zicam tablets like they were candy. I was better in a day or so and didn’t get nearly as sick as I usually do.
Here’s the link

There’s also a $1 coupon on the site. Woohoo!

don’t have caffeinated tea!! The caffeine will make your blood vessels swell, which will make a stuff nose stuffier (that explanation makes sense, right?)
If you’re drinking tea to de-congest, don’t have caffeinated tea.
Sweety, just get some good rest! Your wedding’s in a monthish - you should take a break before the storm!

I agree with everyone above…sleep sleep and sleep. If you can go to the doctor and see if you can get an antibiotic. I had the same thing and that seemed to really help plus sleeping for a whole day.

I’m sick too right now! :-( The change of seasons always does me in.

Mr. Bruschetta prescribed lots of water — and sleep, too, of course.

You’ve heard it — sleep, or at least laying on the couch watching movies and skipping the caffeine. You may have to skip work… I know it’s tough sometimes to believe they can function without you, but take day to rest and catch up later. Hope you feel better in time for your party!

Sleep, sleep, sleep! Take Airborne every 3 hours, drink that tea, and take a nice hot bath.

Rest, rest, rest, rest. And drink water more than anything else, including tea!

Seriously, you may just have to call in sick one day this week! Get better, peeps!!

Get some oil of oregano, from a health store or some pharmacies. It is the miracle cure-all as it’s anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-everything that’s bad for you! You just take a few drops a couple of times a day and withstand the burning of the strong flavour. I stand by it because it has helped me fight throat infections and colds many times!

I agree with everyone else, sleep lots! Also if your ears are plugged, and you’re flying to Seattle, I would suggest “earplanes”. I had the same thing last month and while they didn’t make it all better, they did relieve a little of the discomfort when we were flying. Feel better!

I would take Zicam, if you are going to seattle in four days, you need relief pronto! I would also bring tylenol cold and alka seltzer cold with me when I am sick and running around doing things, it relieves all the symptoms even if I am still recovering.
