But most of all, I'm beyond excited to become Mrs. Kitten on a fabulous Caribbean vacation surrounded by my friends and family!
About Mrs. Kitten

A Moo How-To: Cocktail Hour Trivia Cards! : wedding diy reception tutorial 3419780 A while back I posted about the idea of creating trivia cards to keep guests entertained during our cocktail hour. I printed them on Moo business cards. Moo cards are great because not only can you print on both sides, but you can print a different image on each card! I’ve been getting some questions about how the process works, so here’s a little tutorial on how to make your very own Moo cards.

Here’s how it works–say you have two sides to the card, Side A and Side B.

On Side A you can print a different image on each card–that’s the easy part! On Side B you can either have text or an image, but the only catch is that you have to have the same thing on every card. And if you choose the text option, you have to enter the text through the Moo text editor, which has pretty limited font and formatting options.

Because I needed each Trivia Card to have a different question on it, I had to print the questions on Side A. That means that I had to upload the questions as images. I have Photoshop, but had never used it, so my lovely roommate gave me a quick tutorial and I was on my way. With Photoshop I was able to create the cards in our rainbow sherbet palette AND put the answers to the trivia questions upside down on the bottom corner of the cards. The only challenging part was making sure I had enough buffer space around the edges so the wording wasn’t cut off (the correct buffer was about 5 mm on each side). On Side B I printed one of the following engagement photos:

Here are some examples of the front sides of the cards! I ended up making 100—50 Kitten trivia, 25 Cayman trivia, and 25 wedding trivia. I’m told our guests had fun during the cocktail hour, turning the trivia cards into a contest to see who could get the most right!

I love this idea! That’s so funny that I also posted on Moo business cards today (I swear that Moo’s not paying us to do their advertising!).

I love these cards! When I tried to create one today though, it didn’t allow me to preview it before I decided to purchase it. Is there something I’m missing or do you really have to make the purchase without getting to see a final preview first?

What a fun idea! I didn’t realize you could upload an image for the static side of the MOO cards. Good to know!

quick question: if you do the wording at the image on side A, can you still have multiple pictures on side B?

Wow, these are awesome! I’m totally going to “borrow” this idea. I noticed they’re based in the UK, approx how much was shipping to the states?

We were planning on doing trivia too! I need to go back to your first post. Very clever to work around the limitations of Moo!

I’m interested to know what shipping costs on these since it is a UK company. Thanks!

We just made some moo cards for our wedding…shipping was surprisingly low for being international, much like domestic shipping. You can also find discount codes if you do a search…retail me not is a good one.

Ours came out great and the packaging is super cute:)

My fiance and I met playing bar trivia, so this idea REALLY appeals to me. I have been trying to figure out a classy way to incorporate the trivia thing into the wedding/reception and this is the perfect way. Thanks! I’m totally going to copy! :)

How did you give the cards to your guests? As in, did they get one with their drink, or were they pre-spread over the tables, or was there a stack of them somewhere for guests to pick up, or what?
