I Dream of Shoes (In Color)

April 16th, 2009 @ 9:31 am by Mrs. Beagle

I love shoes. I think this post is evidence of that. Almost as soon as I found the dress (okay, maybe even a little before that), I started thinking about what shoes I would wear with it. I think I may have even considered finding the right shoes to be almost more important than finding the right dress! :)

Have I mentioned I love shoes? When I started my shoe search I was looking for a unique style, preferably in satin, with a small to medium heel… bonus points for any bow or flower ornamentation.

I thought about purple (to coordinate with our wedding colors):

Or “something blue”:

Red is classic:

Green and yellow are fun, bright and cheerful:

I love metallics & whites (dyeing for a perfect match!):

Since online shopping is the way I roll (working at the mall for 5 years severely traumatized me and I avoid it like the plague), I ordered and returned many shoes trying to find *the* pair. I did order this pair of Seychelles, and really liked the color and fit, but then I had to go and fall in love with a new wedding dress (don’t you hate when that happens?!?! but that’s a story for another time) and they didn’t quite mesh. So, I have continued to scour Endless, Zappos, Nordstrom, and Yoox for the lovelies that will adorn my feet. I have a few more contenders arriving in the mail this week! Free shipping is awesome.

What color are your wedding shoes?

Such a hard decision!!! My shoes were originally a light pink (so sweet!), but they looked not so great with my dress. So I settled on simple white.

I love all those choices, though!

mine are taupe-ish colored and totally don’t match my ivory wedding dress, but I love them too much to get another pair!

ivory….and I found out last week they can’t be dyed blue like I originally planned, so now I have several contenders arriving later this week as well :)

Mine are teal blue…they match our wedding colors and they count as my “something blue”

I have some blue shoes from Endless — also an online shopper! I love narrowing the choices on the websites. I think I’m going to have to go back and find some that you included in your blue section.

I went with silver flats. They were sooooo comfortable (I danced all night in them) and they fit so nicely with my romantic snow-princess look. I can also definitely wear them again and again!

Please make my life and get those blue cowgirl boots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Endless shoes, that’s the danger of the internets! (That’s how I “roll” too.) :) Oh yeah, and they’re gold.

I’m thinking blue or raspberry. There are some beautiful Kate Spades I love, but I need them to go on a BIG sale.

I love the look of bright shoes in pictures! I’m still debating on whether to get white or blue. I’m also trying to decide between heels, flats or flip flops!

I’m going for RED!!! I couldn’t decide and I had a hard time finding blue ones (peep toe, with something on the toe i.e bow, rose etc.) I found some super cute Mee too’s in red!! My wedding colors are black and ivory, so the red will add some extra fun.. plus red = love!

I’m doing a pale pink/taupe. My flowers are the blush white peonies with pinkish centers. Love them. Love the shoes. went with endless for free shipping. My bridesmaids are doing fuchsia peonies so fuchsia shoes to match (even though the dresses are plum!)
