Our Cheesy Playlist

April 20th, 2009 @ 2:59 pm by Mrs. Cheese

I gotta tell you, I am getting really excited about our wedding, and the big reason behind that is our playlist. It’s pretty freaking cool. And by cool I mean totally cheesy and goofy - you know, just like us. Our hope is that the night will be filled with, “Oh, my gawd I LOVE this song!”

I don’t consider that list as “cheesey” persay, but more timeless classics :) I may have to borrow about half of your list.

Just an FYI, Cindy Lauper’s Girls Just Want to Have Fun is on the list twice–Do you want to have that much fun? ;)

GREAT playlist!!!! Totally what we would play… And I think the original artist who dod Life is a Highway was Tom Cochrane… Much better than the Rascal Flatts version, to me! :)

Looks like it’s going to be a BLAST at your wedding!!

@FMH: LOL. I REALLY want to have fun. Every time we think, “Oh, that HAS to go on the playlist” I just add it to the end… before I blogged I double-checked, and we had about ten songs listed more than once. “Africa” had three entries!

Mission accomplished Cheese! As I scrolled down I kept exclaiming (in my head, or my cubicle mates would probably think I was insane) “oh my gosh, I looooove that song!” Since West Coast Groom and I are doing our own playlists too, I’m so updating them tonight:-)

@West Coast Bride: That’s awesome! I laugh and giggle and sing songs in my head every time I look through that list. Is it bad to be more excited about your playlist than your dress? :)

I love your list! Especially your amount of Billy Joel! If I could Billy would just come and play at our wedding and we’d call it a night :)

The “west Texas town of El Paso” song was done by Marty Robbins. My mom loved him.

“Not Michael Buble” was in our DJ contract at least three times. That cracked me up when I saw it on your list.

Nice! I am getting married on May 16,2009…and want a lot of cheesy 80’s!!

I love the glam rock stuff…Crue, skid row, gnr, warrant, bon jovi, europe, poison…and so on.

I’m thinking of using “Make a Memory” by bon jovi as my wedding song.

Any more suggestiosn for wedding songs?
