Tickled Pink

April 28th, 2009 @ 3:07 pm by Mrs. Beagle

So, I went to my caterer’s (I’ll elaborate on that later) house to pay the remainder of the first half of our catering bill. And she sent this home with me:

Tickled Pink : wedding gift ideas Img 21702 How sweet is that?!?!? (Thanks Laura!) I’m still in shock that my vendor gifted me something. So, I’m inviting you to share: What surprisingly fun experiences have you had as a bride/bride-to-be?

That’s SO cool! I had fun at bridal shows with all the freebies (not amazing freebies but freebies are great regardless!)

Awwww, so sweet! OUR caterer did a tasting for me and Mr. Bruschetta at my parents’ house while we were still deciding on who to hire…and he only charged us the cost of food (~ $60), when we already knew his personal chef services start at $350!

We’re getting a free tasting of the full meal for 4 people this week even though we haven’t signed any contracts. And the free use of the awesome house is great. Also, our reception site said we could any of the vases they had stocked downstairs which is great since I’m DIYing the flowers.

My super fabulous make-up artist gave me unopened make-up to keep (and not the cheap stuff!), in case of needed touch-ups.

I also got a $16 refund check from my venue….we canceled the use of a table rental last minute. Who doesn’t like to get money back that you’ve completely forgotten about??

I haven’t had any such luck… :-( It seems that I’ve had the OPPOSITE, with sneaky vendors and greedy vendors…wish I had your caterer b/c that basket looks awesome!! (And I want to put something like that together for my MOH!)

What a sweet and thoughtful caterer :)
Mr Frenchie and I were really excited when we got gifts from the stores we registered. Crate & Barrel’s gift was our favorite.

I just got news from our bakery that they have a connection with a local hotel, and are giving us a free night’s stay as a thank you! Woo hoo!

We had a package in the mail the other day from our superfabulous photographer Ashley. I had no clue what she could be sending me…turns out, it was a framed print of one of my favorite shots of hers! I made a comment about it once and she remembered. It was very sweet :)

Our vendors have been awesome - when we first met our photographer, she gave us some candy and a candle and then when we first met with our caterer, he gave us a full multi-course meal when we were just expecting to have a few tastes. I’m so happy that we picked them!

Oh wow that is so incredibly nice! My first catering payment is in a few weeks. I wonder if she’ll soften the blow with a gift while 11k goes bye bye? haha

That is so sweet! I wish my caterer/venue is the same. But I think all they care about is taking money from us :( Every little added detail is an additional cost. We’ll see, our wedding is still more than a year away.

THAT IS AN AMAZING VENDOR!!! Our catering sales manager sent us a cookie cutter shaped like a pear. I love little things from people showing them that they are thinking of me especially vendors. It just makes you think what surprises might you get on your wedding day!!!
