The Memory Flower Girl Bowl-Basket

April 29th, 2009 @ 6:12 pm by Mrs. Joey

So, Susan of Up in the Air Somewhere sent me two designs of the bowl-basket and I decided to go with Option 1. I loved the ruffle/petal things, and she was right — it did remind me of my dress. I think I made the right choice.

I love the basket. Also, Susan made it so the handle can come off and the little hole that attached the handle to the bowl can be covered by gluing on some extra petals she enclosed. We may not have tons of wedding pictures hanging in our new house, but we’ll have lots to remind us of the big day.

Are you doing anything special for the usually-overlooked flower girl basket?

I LOVE how your basket turned out! I also love how Susan included extra petals to cover up the holes when it is finished being a basket. That is another great thing about Etsy, personal touches like that :)

Your basket is super cute! Is the bowl ceramic and the petals paper?

@Cole B: It’s all paper. We decided something light would be best for a 3-year-old flower girl. :)

Cute! We won’t be having a flower girl, but that is a great little tote for her!

What an amazing idea, I love how it’s customizable — definitely one of the great Etsy/handmade benefits.
