About Mrs. Meatball

Save, Win, or Both!

May 2nd, 2009 @ 3:15 pm by Mrs. Meatball

Here are some great ways to save beaucoup dinero that have come to my attention that I just had to share with y’all!

Win a free honeymoon! PreOwnedWeddingDresses.com is having a contest which runs from May 1st to June 30th, and the winner will receive a $2,000 Marriott Honeymoon TravelCard redeemable at any Marriott hotel, anywhere in the world. The TravelCard can be used for anything at the hotel, including room nights, spa treatments, golf, and even breakfast in bed. Marriott has over 3,000 hotels in amazing spots like Hawaii, the Cayman Islands, London, Paris, Thailand… just to name a few. Brides can enter once per email address per day using the contest entry form. (http://www.preownedweddingdresses.com/contest-signup.html)

These two dealios are for my local SoCal gals:

The Eleanor Group is having a Mother’s Day special on their fabulous Eleanor Cards! For just $49 (normally $65) you can get a card valid for 4 spa services, valued at over $300, at a local spa/salon. Mr. M and I did this last year and it was such a tremendous luxury (and totally legit). Check out www.theeleanorgroup.com and enter code TEGmom at checkout for the discount price. What a great way to pamper yourself for the big day, without big pay!

Deborah Lindquist - eco-friendly fashion maven (and my dress designer) is having a big sale at her NoHo boutique this weekend, May 2 from 9-5 and May 3 from 9-4pm. Everything is 50% off, except custom orders and (sorry) wedding dresses. Her clothing line is redonkulously adorable and all environmentally friendly. Check it out at deborahlindquist.com

Go forth and save, my pretties!

I read all the fine print for the Preownedweddingdresses contest and it was very strange. You have to answer a math question unaided (what?) and stuff. It just had weird little clauses in there (like them sending promotional offers to the e-mail you give them) so I didn’t think it was worth it. But if none of that bothers you, you can enter ONCE PER E-MAIL PER DAY. So if you have 7 e-mail addies you can enter 7 times per day. Also, the drawing is July 2nd, then they call you with a math question, then they send you paperwork (snail mail) then you send it back (snail mail) with citizenship proof etc, THEN they send you like a $2000 Marriott gift certificate. So if you’re hoping to use it, don’t count on receipt of it until like August.

Thanks for the Eleanor Group gift certificate. My momma lives in Hollywood and will LOVE this! Can you use it anytime? Also, can you get two treatments at once (i.e. her and I go together)?

@Mighty Sapphire: Thanks for posting that! I didn’t even think to check the fine print. good eye!

@Miss Cowboy Boot: You can use it anytime, just schedule the appointment ahead. You can only go once a day, per card, I think - but Mr. MB and I each got a card once and went together to all our appointments which was so nice.

@Miss Meatball: Thanks Miss Meatball. I bought this for my mom (and one for me when I’m home in June for a week). Nice way to relax. Have you tried the spa in Hollywood: R4U? It looked like the most well-rounded packaged without crazy skin laser treatments.
