Some Couples Take Photos of Marriage Certificates…

While I’m sure we will take a picture of our marriage certificate when the time comes, we haven’t reached that point yet. However, we went all the way down to London for an equally important appointment. Prior to receiving an interview date with the U.S. Embassy, Mr. D had to go to a specific doctor in London to make sure he is fit enough to enter the U.S.

After a 3 hour wait, we were free! We had a RECEIPT! Records have been sent to the embassy! Huzzah!

We took advantage of our government mandated London trip to do a few touristy things, such as check out Harrods, swing by Tiffany to clean my ring, as well as eat Laduree macarons and have a picnic in St. James Park. It was heavenly.

Have you had to take care of any unexpected legal/medical appointments for your wedding?

P.S. Those macarons ARE as good as everyone says.

Congratulations!!!! It must feel so great to be nearing the end of this process. I’m not looking forward to when we have to do this as well, but at least we have macaroons to look forward to!

I’m still waiting too! I have not received my noa2 yet! Vermont is sooooooooo slow this week according to VJ. No approvals for VT at all! I’m already 4 months with no noa2 I’m getting really sad!

@Dawn: I tell him, but he doesn’t believe me! I did forward him your comment though as proof I’m not the only one! @Cereza: Uhg, the waiting is the WORST part, it took us about 5 months to get our NOA2 from VT (Oct 08- March 09) But then, it took a month to go from the state dept to london, and 2 more weeks for the embassy to send us the letter telling us what to do next. Now we’re waiting on a interview date… it feels like the waiting never ends!
