Mrs. Cheese, Knoxville Age and Occupation: 29, Engineering Manager Fiance's Age and Occupation: 27, CAD Designer Engagement Date: July 31, 2008 Wedding Date: May, 2009 Blogging Since: October 16, 2008 Venue: Our home and the two acres it sits on About Me: I’m an emotional girl who loves sentimental things, parenthetical asides, and trying to do things herself. I can cook, sew, am a whiz at planning, terrible at delegating, and totally in love with my fiancé (who will be my second husband but first love of the rest of my life). For our home/ garden/ DIY wedding, we’ll be moonlighting as interior designers, home improvers, and gardeners with the help of our fabulous friends and neighbors. About Mrs. Cheese

Love… waking up to a poured and mixed cup of coffee.

Don’t like… waking up.

Love… the man who brought the coffee.

Don’t like… waking up.

Love… puppy kisses and wagging tails.

Don’t like… muddy paws.

{Oh, yea, I called this the “wedding planning edition”, didn’t I? Oops.}

Love… that in a month, this will all be over.

Don’t like… the list of stuff to do in less than 20 days.

Love… that soon I’ll see my family and get to show them my home, my dogs, my ‘hood.

Don’t like… that I’m worried and nervous and full of fluttering freaking butterflies.

Love… telling my guy all about it (talking and talking and talking) and feeling better.

Don’t like… the amount of painting left to do.

Love… the amount of painting that’s finished.

Don’t like… rain! I have a garage and porch to paint!

Love… the garden we finally got around to planting, and the drainage that keeps the front yard from being a mud pit.

Don’t like… writing big checks.

Love… that we have the money to back the big checks.

Don’t like… that primer doesn’t wash out of hair as easily as I once thought.

Love… that life is getting fun again, that we’ve figured out how to combine the fun-ness of our early dating months with the getting-shit-done of the last year.

Don’t like… that primer doesn’t wash off skin as easily as I once thought.

Love… that I get to pick up my dress on Friday.

Don’t like… that primer doesn’t wash off dogs as easily as I’d hoped.

Love… that my mama sent me two! more! shrugs! (this time in two shades of pink).

Don’t like… primer.

Love… that my dad sent me a whole folder of baby and family pictures and I got to share my story-in-pictures with Mr. C.

Don’t like… those darned fluttering freaking butterflies taking up residence in my gut.

Love… the weight I think I’ve lost due to the freaking butterflies.

Don’t like… my racing heart when I count the days until our vows.

Love… that almost every dollar spent on our wedding will be for things we get to enjoy before and after that one day.

Don’t like… finding storage for all the dinnerware.

Love… seeing my guy in a suit.

Don’t like… shoe shopping for a guy. So hard!

Love… being in love, be it schmoopy or silly or sentimental.

What are you loving/ not liking?

I love… the idea of being Mrs. Mary Jane.

I don’t love… the politics behind planning any wedding, regardless of the size.

Great list, cheese!

I love….that I am marrying my best friend
Don’t like….the stress of being unemployed and being afraid of spending any money on the wedding.

I love…that our families have told us not to worry about the money, both sides are willing to help
Don’t like….still stressing of spending money on the wedding!

Try olive oil and salt to get the primer off your skin! Might work on hair too?

Don’t like… That this is getting so expensive
Love… So far it’s being paid for with cash
Don’t like… Making tough guest list decisions.
Love… the thought of all our family and friends who will be there, surrounding us with their love.
Don’t like… Getting the house ready for company.
Love… Getting to show the house to my friends and family and them finally getting to meet my adorable dog!

Love. . . planning our wedding that will be a celebration!
Don’t like. . . . invitations and guest list. Can someone do all this for me?

Love. . . . renovating our first home together.
Don’t like. . . . all the time and money renovations take!

Love…getting items checked off our to-do list.

Don’t like…that between my work schedule, and Mr. Bruschetta’s school and part-time jobs schedule, it feels like the only time we have together during the day/week/night/weekend is spent talking about or working on stuff for the wedding. Argh. :-(

Love…that I get to see everyone close to me from all parts of the country before we move to the other side of the world for three years.

Don’t like…that this means we can’t elope.

Love…that I get to be married to my favorite person in the world.

Don’t like…that marrying said person takes so much planning

Love…that I have an excuse to be crafty and creative and design things

Don’t like…that attemping to use gocco, photoshop or double-sided tape for the first time while planning a wedding is probably one of my all time worst ideas

Don’t like…spending valuable down-time with my fiance obsessing over every last wedding detail.

Don’t like…staying in shape to look good in said bikinis!

Love…that Mama Cheese is making me a fabulous shrug to wear on the big day!

Don’t like…having to wait for it

Don’t like….that we’ll still be living with his dad once we’re married

Love…being able to get married in a location with so much meaning

Don’t like…the setup of part of the venue

Love…being able to be in the same room with all our closest friends and family

Love…hearing my sister gush with excitement about coming home to visit and share the day with us
Don’t like….hearing my in-laws compare our wedding to the one they are planning for West Coast Groom’s little sister next year.
Love….buying pretty dresses for pre-wedding events, and imagining myself wearing them out to dinners on our honeymoon
Don’t like…paying for said pretty dresses.
Love….thinking about my Dad’s super-proud-semi-weepy Dad face which I know will come out when he sees me.
Don’t like….re-visiting the table arrangements ten times to try and mitigate/balance my parents’ divorce issues.
Love……planning the honeymoon with West Coast Groom.
Don’t like…..worrying about whether any money has been put down by our guests on our honeymoon registry.
Love….that when I share my doubts and fears with West Coast Groom he cuddles and supports without taking things personally.
Don’t like…..that I continue to have lingering doubts and fears connected to my own parents’ divorce.
Love……coming on weddingbee and getting insight, humour and re-assurance from Miss Cheese:-)
