Rays of Sunshine (Part 2)

May 7th, 2009 @ 9:25 am by Mrs. French Bulldog

You may recall on my first visit to Jinny’s that Sister Frenchie and BM F looked at BM dresses while I looked at wedding dresses. While I was in my tiny changing room with Lynn, they were able to try on (and show me) a number of BM dresses.

Unfortunately, since Jinny’s doesn’t allow photos unless you have already purchased something, I don’t have pictures of all the dresses they tried on, but I was able to find a couple of them on the Dessy website.

They also tried on something similar to this, but with spaghetti straps:

There were two similar dresses to the After Six style 6273 that looked nice on both Sister Frenchie and BM F, but we thought the second one, the After Six style 6524, was really cute with the ruffle at the bottom. All I had to do was come back later in the week with BM J to see how it looked on her, and we were set! I could not believe we have already finished choosing a bridesmaid dress.

What aspect of your wedding did you find surprisingly easy?

The easiest part was choosing yellow dresses as well! It didnt matter what type of dress it was.. just as long as it was a certain yellow.

Ps I love the 2721, its super cute!

Ha! I wore the first one (Dessy 2721) in a wedding last August! Cute dress, but will probably forever be sittin’ in my closet :)

The easiest part for me as well were the bridesmaid dresses…I found a dress on Black House White Markets web site that I thought would flatter everyone…it went on sale and I had everyone buy it that day! Soooo easy :)

So far it’s been bridesmaid dresses also. Told them to get a navy blue J Crew dress, hopefully on sale!

I love the look of the Dessy line from what I’ve seen on their website — and there are so many color options!

Cute dress! your girls will look so cute. Unfortunately bridesmaid dresses have not been easy at all (still working on it). However, the easiest part for me was the catering. I found a caterer, from the list that my venue allowed. It turned out, he is the owner of the restaurant at the venue, had the lowest prices, and we had mutual friends and hobbies in common (we were both on the San Diego tri Club), so we hit it off right away. And the best part is when we went to the restaurant, the food was fantastic. Even my sister, the foodie, liked it!!

I think the easiest part for me was the venue. I found it, I loved it, and they were open! But I’m STILL trying to find a flattering dress for my mom…I’ll have her check out Dessy!

The easiest part for me was picking out the BM dresses as well. I told them to get a dress in a certain purple. Done!

You have great taste! I just became a member yesterday and I am obsessing over your blogs!!! Love it! The yellow will look great! Are you doing anything with sunflowers incorporated into your flowers??? I would have to agree with a couple other girls, the venue was the easiest thing for me by far.
