In my quest for amazing pictures of my wedding day, I whipped up this little bad boy - a cute dress hanger cover!! No accidental “I only have the plastic hanger and it’s going to ruin my dress shot” emergencies for me!
I was going to add a simple navy bow, but I think it would draw too much attention to the hanger and distract you from the dress itself. Instead, I think I’m going to embroider our wedding date and monogram in a light ivory.
Are you planning on getting a special hanger for your big day?
Love this! So cute! I just Emilie’s tip — on PRO — about getting a pretty hanger for the dress on the wedding day…and since I’m not “sew” creative (::wink wink::) I’ll probably just go purchase a nice wooden one.

I am! I bought a pretty, ivory satin hanger. I’ve never heard of this before, but my photographer recommended it to me a couple weeks ago. Then I read Emilie’s tip in her wedding recap, and now here’s yours!
Sometimes, I get so hung up on details like these, I’m afraid I’m going to forget something super important (like paying a vendor)! But I’ll have a pretty hanger, darn it!

I hate when they take shots of such pretty dresses on cheapo plastic hangers! I plan on using one of the nice wooden ones.
I picked up a pack of 10 of the nice satin hangers from Bed Bath and Beyond for $12. I needed them for part of my bridesmaids gift anyway, but, I think I’ll just use one of those for my dress, too.
Oooohhh. I really hope I have the time to spend on beautiful details like these. Where’s that to-do list?!?!

We always bring two when we photograph weddings. we have one in white and on in a tea stained ivory. nothing worse than plastic hangers in dress shots!
Oh, how I wish I had known about this before my own wedding. The photographer didn’t think to mention it to me (booo!).
