I’m so excited about how the coloring book pages have turned out! The steps are unbelievably easy and the outcome is so much better than I anticipated. The hardest part has been narrowing down our collection of photos and figuring out which ones will make the cut.
By following the steps in Jennifer Apple’s Photoshop tutorial (which also works for PaintShop Pro), I was able to use this photo of Mr. Yorkie and me taken up in the Sierras last summer (the day before we got engaged)…
… and transform it into something full of great coloring potential!

Something tells me that you may need to make more of these than originally planned…the adults will probably want one too! I know I would!
I love it! And you just reminded me that we will have a couple of kids, and I should probably come up with something to keep them occupied!
We just started planning our kid bags, but I took the easy way out and DISE’d (do-it-someone-else) my way out of it! My mom loves those kinds of things - less than 24 hours after she was ‘granted the honor of kiddy bags’ we had oodles of crayons and colorings books (among other things!)
Oh my gosh! I was thinking of trying to do just this! I’m glad someone else thought of it first so I can get some good tips.
