About Mrs. Joey

The Verdict

May 13th, 2009 @ 5:04 pm by Mrs. Joey

Where did we leave off? Oh right, I was trying the dress on again.

So yes, I tried it on again… and the verdict?

I LOVE it. I don’t know if it was my headache or the lighting or just being tired. It’s perfect and it looks great with my shoes. The only thing is that it’s too big. Yes! TOO BIG. I was measured for it in February, and come May, it seems I’ve dropped a dress size or two.

So here are the pictures. I must warn you that they aren’t great. I tried taking a picture of me in the mirror, but the flash blurred me out. I had to come into the back room and take the shots with iphotobooth. So, I ran back and forth from the computer while I tried to hold my dress back. Then I tried to take a picture with my shoes, but that didn’t turn out great… you’ll see.

It definitely needs to be taken in a size or two. But I love it, and am feeling not so Klingon-y anymore.

Did you have second and third thoughts about your dress after you bought it?

I think that, once fitted to you, it’ll look great. I love the wide band on the front!

It looks great. I love the texture on the sides.

I’m having second thought about my dress, but I’m gonna stick with it.

Can they take it in at the shoulders too? I think the fact that you dropped a couple of dress sizes made the top a bit too wide for your body. Once it’s altered to fit your slimmer frame, it should be gorgeous!

@LLauRRa: Seriously, you should have seen me Monday night. My sholders were sticking out, hair all a mess and distorted-shadow face from the headache and the lighting.

I’ve doubted my decision multiple times- I’ll post about it once I feel comfortable that it will work and I love it (we’re not there yet!)

We appreciate all the effort these pictures took! It’s so original and cute to boot. I love it when the reason I’m doubting a dress is because it’s too big, and once you pull it to fit it looks like you hoped, it’s such a great feeling! Keep it up!

So cute! I think it looks great, though I can’t speak to how much you do or don’t look like a Klingon. I’ve never seen anything Star Trek.

Such an awesome dress! It’s so modern (and yet it has a touch of vintage to it).

I really love your dress. Once it fits, it’ll just be so original–modern and sleek. Also, it totally has post-wedding day wearability! Do you think you’d wear it again (even just on special occasions?)

Miss Joey, I’m not sure if it’s the improper fit or the great effort the photograph session took… but I just don’t get that WOW! That’s her wedding dress! kind of FEEL from these pics. Honestly, I have a dress that’s similar that I wear to the office for work. I applaud you for losing 2 dress sizes! Don’t we all wish we had that problem? Congrats!! but I just think that you could do so much better!!
