About Mrs. French Bulldog

I received my first shower invitation in the mail!

My thought, after first thinking, ‘Ahhh! This is getting real!’ was, ‘How frickin’ cute is this invitation?’ The answer: SO CUTE!

My invitation was made especially for me and my love of Cherries.

Front

Back

How cute is the fruit themedness (What? That’s a word)! Apparently the other guests received invites featuring other fruits. My mom and sister’s had strawberries, one friend’s was citrus, and another sent me a picture of her watermelon invite.

I am blown away by the amount of work she put into this shower already. BM F (the door watcher) went all out on these, and rumor has it that the fruity goodness doesn’t stop there. All the food and favors will be fruit themed, as well! I CAN’T WAIT!

Okay, so here’s the question. What are you giving your shower-throwers (technical term)? I want to get them a gift that shows how grateful I am for all the time and effort they put into throwing me this shower. I’d love some suggestions!

I love love love it! Your hostesses are so cute, I love the wording!

For shwoer gifts, what about soemthign they can use to pamper themselves after all their hard work? I’m not sure what I’m doing for mine, but mayeb a gift certificate for a manicure, they could even use it for your wedding! If you arent already planning on doing so.

Maybe some strawberries from Shari’s Berries? The strawberries are more expensive, but they have cherries for $20! http://www.berries.com/jump.jsp?itemID=726&itemType=PRODUCT&path=1%2C2%2C9%2C76&iProductID=726

my hostess gifts are themed with relaxation… i stocked up at Marshalls on bath scrubs, yankee candles, books on relaxation & health, and adding in DD gift cards to let them start their days off right!

for the other party hosts we’re doing wine themed gifts - bottle of wine, wine carrier bag, pretty apron, and some crackers/fruit/cheese.

@Miss Bruschetta: Super cute story about the stamps… F sent her husband to the post office to mail the invites. F told him about the fruits stamps, but said they are for postcards, so you’ll probably have to use more than one. When he came back he told her, “You’d be very proud me, I used all the red and pink fruits for the pink polka dot envelopes and the green fruits for the green envelopes.” I was so impressed that he was the one to line those stamps up so perfectly and color coordinated.

How cute are those envelopes?!

I have my MIL a “shower” inspired gift, like Bruschetta suggested. I had a loufa, Bath & Body Works shower gel, and a cute, colorful umbrella.

Such a cute invite! I got my shower-throwers some body wash and a monogrammed umbrella (great deal from ebay). Then I attached a cute little thank you note and used a saying I found on here, something along the lines of, “I hope your next shower is as great as mine.” I think for yours, you could do something really cute with a fruit theme with body washes, candles, or maybe even a real fruit bouquet from somewhere like edible arrangements.
