What do you get when you combine a graphic design-loving bride with ultra luxurious Crane Letterpress paper, a bottle of yellow paint, and a Gocco?
If you were thinking, ‘Miss Gloss’ invitations,’ you are absolutely right!
If you were thinking, ‘a huge mess that took over multiple rooms, 2 rolls of paper towels, a ruined carpet and lots of stained clothing,’ you are also absolutely right!
But they are D O N E, and I love them. Loooove them.
And it seriously pained me to have to blur things! So sorry!!
I haven’t even put them in the mail yet - so you guys are getting the first glimpse, because I couldn’t wait to share them any longer!

@Everyone: Thanks SO much! I was nervous about the potential informalness of the handwriting font, but in the end I think that it really works with who we are as a couple and the event we are planning -

@Boddy: Its actually a dark navy, but it didn’t photograph too well!
@Donna: Yup! They were WAAY out of my price range too! Mostly because of the letterpress, so instead of indenting the words into the paper I embossed them to make the raised!!

@Miss Mascara: Thanks! Getting them centered correctly within the envelopes was probably the most time consuming part of the whole thing! I had no idea they would be such a pain
Those are really nice. It’s so great that you have a way to put everything together nicely. It’s no fun to receive an invite with so many iserts that are to manage! Everything looks tied together so nicely!

So great. I have your inspiration invites bookmarked, and now I’ve added yours too. Love all the details: graphics of liner with the date, the string, and wax seal, the glassine (or is it velum?) inner envelope, the font (I like the informailty), the color. It’s all so great. How long do you think it took you to make these? Tell me that’s a patch of grass on the RSVP for veggie selection, haha. What type of string did you use?

@MissPopcorn: They are vellum, glassine envelopes tended to only come in smaller or business sizes, I couldn’t find any in an A7 size so I used vellum, it’s a little sturdier anyways. The string is blue and white baker’s twine. As for time- the majority was done in a weekend, and I’ve been lining the envelopes as I feel like it throughout the week. And yes it is absolutely a patch of grass

@chicagom: I couldn’t find any paper that I liked to line the paper, so I just created the design in Illustrator and then printed them! That way I could also add in the flourish with our date on them -
