Mrs. Ballet Flat's Picture
Mrs. Ballet Flat, New Orleans Age and Occupation: 24, Geographic Information Systems Analyst Fiance's Age and Occupation: 26, IT Analyst Engagement Date: March 16, 2008 Wedding Date: May, 2009 Blogging Since: September 25, 2008 Venue: St. Charles Borromeo Church/Jefferson-Orleans North About Me: I absolutely love wedding planning, spending time with Mr. Ballet Flat, various crafts, watching football, baking, pop music, bargain hunting and ice cream. My idea of a great date night is dinner and clearance shopping with Mr. Ballet Flat! I currently live below sea level in the suburbs near New Orleans, where I make maps all day, everyday for my job. I'm slowly becoming more and more obsessed with anything New Orleans related for our wedding, and I can't wait for the big day!
About Mrs. Ballet Flat

I remember thinking over a year ago, when Mr. Ballet Flat slipped this ring on my finger, that our wedding couldn’t come soon enough! I remember gazing at a countdown that read over 400 days, then 200 days, then, oh my gosh, 99 days! A few days ago, the countdown read 9 days! Wow… where did the time go?

Everything is Moving So Fast! : wedding schedule Time Flies time flies

When I started writing for Weddingbee, I remember reading recaps and thinking, ‘My time for these will NEVER come. I’m just planning forever, it seems.’ However, I think it’s time for me to eat my words.

Everything is THIS WEEK! The bachelorette party, the rehearsal dinner, the wedding… it’s ALL about to happen!

It hasn’t hit me hard yet. I feel so relaxed about it all, which is strange.

There are things I should be panicking about. Our programs aren’t finished (my procrastination), my illness turned into a sinus infection that is taking its good time healing, and it’s possible that a (extra-/sub-/who knows what it will be) tropical system will develop (there goes my weather geek side) and pour rain down on our big day and Disney World road trip! Geez… and, the packing. Woo! I hate packing!

However, I like to think that no matter what, it’s gonna be a lot of fun and we will finally be MARRIED!

Has time flown for you in your planning? If you are close to the big day, has it really hit yet that you are about to be married? :)

Good luck to you, Miss Ballet Flat! I remember that feeling well. Enjoy every minute and try not to let anything stress you out, because afterwards, it won’t have mattered anyway.

So many Bee weddings this weekend - wow!

Yea!! I can’t wait to see pictures of your upcoming wedding miss ballet flat! I know exactly what you mean though. I have been engaged for 15 months and am getting married in a little over 4 months….I remember thinking that time was going to drag on and it would take forever. But now that we’re under the 6 month mark, I’m getting really nervous about everything there is to get done! It’s so true, that time flies!!

Yes, I’ve totally felt like the day will NEVER get here! We’ll have been engaged for 14 months by the time the big day rolls around, but less than two months to go!

I’m SO excited for you, BF. Yay for wedding week!!!! :)

Yes. It really hit me at about two weeks. Now it’s coming up this weekend and I’m just floored — I don’t know what to do! I think everything is settled, but I can’t be sure…

yes, things seemed to all fly by the week before because I had so much fun! I had an outdoor party and didn’t really want a tent but the worrying about the weather didn’t stop until we actually broke down and got a tent. It was the right thing to do since I live on the east coast and it hasn’t been dry for any amount of time recently. Hope everything goes perfectly!

We are 173 days out (not that I am stocking my Google countdown or anything..) and even that number FREAKS ME OUT!

I can’t wait to see your recaps though (yeah I’m jumping to recaps already) I have enjoyed seeing all your planning, and can’t wait to see how it all pulls together! And I will have my fingers crossed for you for the weather!
