A while back when I got the pattern for the BM dresses, I picked up a retro fifties-looking swing dress pattern just for kicks. I thought I’d have my mom make it for either my rehearsal dress, or maybe a dress for the reception.
I decided that I probably wouldn’t be able to really kick up my heels (who says that anymore? I just did) wearing my slim, sheath wedding gown. So I asked my mom to sew the dress for me to wear sometime during the reception (maybe a sort of getaway dress). I picked it up this past weekend! She did an amazing job on it! I was so pleased! (I’m going to encourage her to open an Etsy shop for veils and BM dresses or something.)
But, my poor mom, she’s worked so hard making all sorts of things for our wedding—I need to do something nice for her. She hadn’t finished her own dress, and I’m not sure she’s really happy with it, so I think I’ll buy her something…
Anyhoo, I really love the collar detail on this dress!
The question is shoes. Which looks best? The patterned peep toe, pointy beige, or poofy aqua slingback?

WOW, can I borrow Mama Perfume for our wedding?! She is amazing! You look amazing in her creation. Regarding the shoe choice, I love the look of #1, too.

It’s hard to tell for sure, but I’d go #1 as well. I don’t really like the pointy toes pair, and I do like the aqua shoe but it might distract from your awesome dress.

Since the photo is so small, I am having a hard time deciding between the pointy beige or poofy aqua slingback –- either one would look fabulous.

Patterend peep toe for sure! The blue is a bit off with teh dress color and the poity ones are too heavy for the dress. The peep toes are perfect!

What type of fabric did your mom use? Because I know some fabrics can be difficult to sew, but this looks great. I might have to ask my mom to whip together something.
I love the aqua because it pops but if I could see the first one better it might change my mind… but forget the shoes that dress is swoooonworthy. Mama P is uber talented. I want that dress the collar is divine

I crush on those poofy aqua slingbacks! & since funky colored shoes weren’t a good look with your wedding dress, I say kick up your hottie heels in those babies!!

peep toe is more youthful fun. closed toes are pretty too but too serious.

@Mrs. Quiche: Oh boy, oh boy!! Overwhelmingly, people vote peep toe! I was really hoping to wear the blue poofy ones (as you so sweetly remembered). I think it’s between those two!!! Oy, so I guess we’re going to have to wait and see!! 
I forgot how cute the blue shoes were. I have a feeling that if you post a larger picture of the peep toe and the blue shoes and take a poll, the results won’t be as much of a landslide.
