Simple Reserved Seating Signs

May 21st, 2009 @ 1:30 pm by Mrs. Taffy

This project was delightfully quick and simple. I wish they could all be like this!!! My friend and I made about twelve of these, which will be placed on the front row chairs during the ceremony.

Materials:

  • Cardstock
  • Printer
  • Paper Trimmer, scissors or X-Acto
  • Ribbon
  • Decorative Paper Punch (I used a Martha Stewart punch)
  • Adhesive Photo Squares

To begin, I printed ‘Reserved’ in our font, Kon Tiki Enchanted.

I used the paper trimmer to cut them to size, then my friend Mrs. B used the Martha Stewart edge punch to trim the sides. To ensure a symmetrical look, start your punch in the middle of the paper and work your way to the outer edge. We lightly marked the center of the paper with a pencil, which made the punching go a little faster.

Attach ribbon to the back of the card. These will be looped through a hole in the back of the chair, so we placed adhesive photo squares on the back. That way, whoever places them will just have to peel and stick!

Another project crossed off of the list! Stay tuned for more crafting madness…

So I couldn’t help but notice the little hearts on the back of your adhsive squares you’ve used in all your DIY projects. I have to ask have you been drawing hearts on all of them or do the ones you buy come like that? Either way I just find it brings a smile to my face :)

LOL @ doublemint921! I can answer that! The squares come with the hearts because mine have the same! :)
