Well, That Was Easy

Here it is:

My lovely wedding band. I was not as interested in wedding bands as I thought I would be. They started to look the same after a while.

I knew I wanted:

  1. Thin
  2. Nothing that would compete with my engagement ring
  3. Nothing too expensive
  4. Something I could wear by itself and still get a little sparkle in there

Blue Nile was quick and easy. Mind you, we did go to the store where Mr. Swan bought my engagement ring. I was not feeling the $2K plus large diamond kinda bands. Heck to the nah, y’all.

Here’s a pic of the two rings together (and a chipped nail… sigh):

What this part of the process did reveal to me is that I do not enjoy the parts of the planning that focus on me! :) Thinking about food, invites, decor… fun. Jewelry, hair, makeup… oy vey!

Has anyone been enjoying jewelry shopping and the other personal shopping aspects of the wedding? Good! I need to learn a thing or two from you. :)

He just bought my band(s) today! I did not really enjoy the process either. I hate running store to store and we have two different ideas of what looks good, etc so it was kind of painful. I’m really happy with the outcome though. It’s beautiful. Too bad I have to wait six weeks for them to make it.

I love how thin your band is! I’m a big fan of delicate bands as well. It looks precious alone and works so well with your e-ring.
My FI gave me a promise ring early in our relationship and I’ve worn it on my right hand for years, when one of the diamonds fell out he suggested to upgrade the ring vs replacing the stone, and thats just what we did. My promise ring looks very much like your wedding band. During the wedding ceremony we’re thinking about having him simply move the ring over from my right hand to my left (since it fits perfectly!).

I’d originally picked out that exact same band, Miss Swan! In the end, we decided to exchange for a slightly different style from Blue Nile, just because the profile was much lower than the engagement ring.

Your set looks lovely together!

I love my Blue Nile ring! If you sign up for their newsletter they give 10% coupons occasionally.

I almost purchased the same ring as well! I ended up going with a platinum band with a milgrain pattern on the side as I felt like the diamond bands competed too much with my solitaire ring (on my tiny hands).

I found the process pretty easy though - I just went online and said “that one!” and clicked purchase!

You band is gorgeous and compliments your e-ring perfectly! My band is similar. I like the little bit of bling it has, especially when wearing it all by itself.

That’s what my band looks like, too! Actually my engagement ring is really similar to yours as well, only with princess cut stones. For me, I liked the way the band of my e-ring and of the wedding band were the same size, they lined up together better.

That’s so pretty! You’re selection criteria are nearly the same as mine…I definitely wanted a band that didn’t compete with my engagement ring. I love it so!

I’m likely going pretty simple, too. Yours is lovely!

I am really fortunate because my parents had my grandmother’s engagement ring and wedding band. I loved both and they are giving them to us to use. It feels nice that I am wearing family heirlooms, plus my Dad looked so happy to know that his mother’s rings would be a part of our marriage.

Your rings look great together. I do enjoy buying things for w day, but the expensive ones like the wedding band I cringe because it brings the total budget that much higher!

still havent found mine yet, but Swan I love yours! My ring has a unique outline to it so bluenile doesnt have a band to match. Anyone know other sites out there to purchase quality bands?

I love it miss swan. That is the exact ring I am looking for. Does it have a specific name or model number?
