My upcoming bachelorette party has given me the cause to hunt through my vintage clothing collection, most of which has been buried at my mom’s house through the years. The 1950s dress up party-theme is perfect for me, as it validates all the years I spent scouring thrift stores for fun vintage finds.
Today I will share some of the things that I will be bringing for the dress up rack. I am hoping to change every hour, because I want to wear everything! I also found a great dress (one that I thought I had lost) for our rehearsal.
First up: A vintage wedding dress! My Taffette of honor gave me this dress for my birthday about six years ago, I think. I love the sleeves!

The bow is so cute in the back.

I have a pill box veil that might be fun to wear with it…

This next dress is my absolute favorite! I found this one at a vintage store in LA a few years back. I will probably wear this dress to the hotel after our wedding!

You may remember this dress from a poll last fall… I wore it to my friend’s Halloween wedding!

The pictures really don’t do this next dress any justice. It looks much cuter on! I have a pair of little black gloves that would be adorable with it.

During my clothes hunt, I found one of my favorite, long lost vintage dresses! I won’t be bringing this one to the party, but will be wearing it to the rehearsal. This also looks way cuter on than sitting on a hanger.

The print is so fun!

I love vintage dresses. But did I hear someone say this was going to turn into a slumber party?

Since my dream job is to be an intimate apparel designer, I have picked up a few fun nighties, dusters, slips, robes over the years. I can’t believe I finally have an occasion to bring them out!
I think this is my favorite one:

The robe that goes with it looks like it needs to come with a box of bon bons! Those sleeves are out of control.

How about something blue?

Or something yellow? The bow is irresistible to me.

This lace half slip is my favorite! I wasn’t able to iron the blue bow out before shooting this picture.

I looove the lace border.

This pink slip fits right into our bow theme!

Aughhh cuteness overload!!!

I can’t wait for the party! A little bird told me that there may be a photo booth, so stay tuned for a fun recap after the wedding!!!
