Making It Up, Part 2

May 26th, 2009 @ 10:58 am by Mrs. Swan

As part of this makeup process, I’ve read that you should find inspiration pictures of sorts. Many people look to celebrities, so I thought I would do the same. Finding a celebrity who shares my complexion/shading was kinda tough. I had to really think about it. So, who’d I come up with?

Ms. Tia Mowry! I mean, I guess she is sort of the same coloring as I am. By the way, she’s all grown up now. She’s not the same little girl that used to be in “Sister, Sister” with her twin sister, Tamera.

She’s married now! Here’s a picture of her from her wedding last year. I like the makeup in this shot, although the eyes may be too much for me (let me ease into this).

She’s turned into a beautiful married lady. I thought her makeup here was nice, too. I’ve recently been trying not to knock pink, as it really can look good on me.

Don’t get me wrong, though. I still loves me some neutrals. There’s something wonderfully natural about them.

By the way, can we talk about the fabulosity that is her dress? It’s a couture design by Kevan Hall.

Have you ever looked at a celebrity for a makeup cues or inspiration? I’m pretty new to this.

What a fantastic look! I’ve been searching for some celebrity inspiration, too. It’s been tough, though, since so many with my coloring seem to take the dramatic eyes/lips route.

Oooh, I love the smokey eyes. I hear you on NOT knocking pink. I didn’t think I’d like it either, but it really does read well on camera. And yeah, that dress is AMAZING!

I love makeup. I have my clippings for inspiration. I love Kate Beckinsale, she always has amazing makeup. Although, I pay close attention to women with blue eyes and black hair, since that’s my combination.

I love the makeup above. The wedding day look is nice and polished and sophisticated. Lovely!

I always looked at celebrities for inspiration, and you found someone great to be inspired by! She looks so beautiful and I had not idea that she got married…I used to love “Sister, Sister!”

I loved Sister, Sister…and still think they are gorgeous. Great inspiration photos. I don’t know if I have any celebrity look-alikes to go from. I guess that would be a good route.

I really liked the pink makeup that you posted over the weekend. I think the woman had her hair natural and had glossy pink lips….

Yeah, she grew up beautifully :)
I love the frilly/flowery strap on her wedding gown, its beautiful!
I really like the makeup in PIC#2 above for wedding makeup, it’s kinda far away but the eye makeup looks a bit more lighter than pic#1 … maybe you could try that for your trial session?

I loved that show! She has grown up into an absolutely gorgeous woman. And that dress is to die for! I’m not sure who my celebrity inspiration would be. I’m new to it too!
