Save the Date for the Ducklings

May 27th, 2009 @ 4:14 pm by Mrs. Duckling

I have finally sent out our Save the Dates and now that I’m sure everyone has received them, I can finally share them with the hive. We’ve seriously taken our sweet time getting these guys out due to delays from school, life, and just general procrastination. But, oh well, they are out and I’ve finally uploaded the pictures to share!

Without further ado, here are the Duckling save the dates!

1

The first peek

2

Pull the save the date out

5

One more envelope!

6

And ta-da!

Here is a picture of how my FMIL displayed her save the date. Isn’t that sweet?

Please let me know if you have any questions. I will try to put together a post with pictures of how we put them together, as well as what supplies were used, if you are interested. Can you already tell where my Cricut and Cuttlebug came in handy?

Are those words “save the date” from a stamp? It looks just like crystal kluge’s handwriting!

When I was browsing at Papersource a few weeks ago, I bought a whole slew of those little baby envelopes because they were on sale in our colors… knowing I wanted to use them on the Save the Date, but not sure how to accomplish it. What an AWESOME idea this is!!

@Newport Nuptials: The original inspiration came from Martha Stewart. I will post that picture when I do a follow up post.
@Miss Bear Cub: The silver writing on the blue envelope is a stamp from paper source.
@amy13: The swirly font is feel script from veer. The other font I need to check on tonight and get back you.
@msashleymarie: Courtney and I did have a brainstorming session and I showed her what I was thinking. She had the fabulous idea of adding in a mini envelope. :)

@markyk: It’s not a magnet but I seriously considered putting magnets on the main back and on the end of the string. Mr. D thought that would be a little overboard and add too many steps. :)
