Stamp of Approval

May 27th, 2009 @ 5:08 pm by Mrs. Swan

Another invitation element I decided to focus on were our stamps. I was inspired by some of the great options available at Zazzle.

Here a few that I loved:

Let’s Talk about Love

I like the graffiti on the left and the flower power on the right.

I love the last one in this series of 4, especially for those having a classic wedding.

I Heart You

Is love as unique as a fingerprint or as confusing as a maze?

3

I love this heart with a sunset. DW brides with tropical locales, this is all you, ladies.

When I see this one, I think of Miss D’orsay. :)

Anyone else breaking the mold with their stamps?

We went the geeky way and used Star Wars characters from Zazzle. That was for the STD. Still don’t know what to do for the invites but it will probably be a picture from where we got engaged.

I had custom monogram stamps made for our save the dates. I was (and still am) very dissapointed that not one out of 200 people commented on my custom stamps! I was so, so excited about it!

Then I asked my Mom what she thought of the stamps and she said “oh sorry baby, I didn’t notice).

Long story short, I decided to just use forever stamps on the invites. Which still no one commented on my liberty bells for the philly wedding.

I love the flower power stamp! I’m thinking about going the custom stamp route - it all depends on how much the invites cost! If there’s cash to spare, I’d love to pick some of these up.

I really like the thumbprint with the red heart inside the best! So if you purchase pre-made zazzle stamps they are the same price as regular stamps? They’re only pricey if you personalize them? So clueless!

I want personalized Zazzle stamps! I have the cutest “I’m trying so hard to take a professional looking photo” pic of the mister and myself holding hands… I want to water color it in aqua and use that… cant afford it…yet.

i started off intending to get zazzle stamps but woah the costs do add up, so we nixed it.

we’re thinking maybe using The Simpsons series that was newly launched, since the show holds special significance for us :)

the flower power stamp is cute! right after we got engaged, we saw the 39 cent hershey’s kisses stamps at the post office and i bought a bunch of them. We didn’t know the final headcount and were aware that the rates would increase, but they were perfect to go with our chocolate envelopes. We used the bird penny stamps to make up the postage.
