Mrs. Cub, Chile/Portland
Age and Occupation: 26, Astronomer
Fiance's Age and Occupation: 28, Astronomer
Engagement Date: May 10, 2008
Wedding Date: September 2009
Venue: Westwind YWCA camp
About Me: I'm a small-town girl who's making a living in Chile, with her heart in the Pacific Northwest. I grew up in Southern California, went to high school in Texas, grad school in New Mexico, and now I can't wait to settle down in Oregon! I love pears, hazelnuts,
knitting, traveling, running, baking, and long talks on the phone with
good friends. I'm planning my Oregon coast summer camp wedding while
abroad with my best friend - I'm always at home when I'm with him!
Hi!
I’m a table! Just your regular 8 by 3 foot wood table with wood benches. Normally cute little kiddies put their tushies on my benches and joke and giggle while they eat on me. But sometimes… sometimes I get to go wild! Ladies who can’t stop smiling dress me up in new cloths and crown me with beautifully fragrant flowers. I wonder what I’ll wear…

Fiance's Age and Occupation: 29, Physical Therapy Assistant Student/Future Dr. of PT
Engagement Date: December 31, 2008
Wedding Date: November 2009
Venue: Whitfield Square/Savannah Station
About Me: I'm working on my second degree from UGA (Go Dawgs!). I'm a self-proclaimed attention-w****. If it involves a camera, I'm in front of it! You'll never meet a girlier tomboy than me. I can go toe to toe with any guy on the subject of college football, and lift more than any girl in my gym, all without chipping a nail. I hope to someday be the only person you want delivering your sports news. My FI and I are the loving parents of three Labrador Retrievers (one of each color) and are planning a "Southern Romantic Charm" wedding in the beautiful, historic city of Savannah. I'm not extreme in anything except moderation... and wedding planning.
One of the many ways I’m cutting costs for the big day is through jewelry. I’m not a fine jewelry person because I usually lose or break things. I only buy cheap, fashion jewelry from places that frequently offer buy 2 get 1 free in the mall. I’m always warning Mr. Lab that the only expensive piece of jewelry I ever want to own is…

Fiance's Age and Occupation: 25, Process Engineer
Engagement Date: July 27, 2008
Wedding Date: September 2009
Venue: Catholic ceremony, reception at local armory
About Me: A lover of Mr. Mascara, crafting, baking, Gossip Girl, diet soda, and all things wedding. A Yooper girl somehow displaced in the Chicago suburbs, planning a wedding from a distance, and counting down the days until I marry my best friend.
My hair and makeup trials are taking place this coming weekend, and I’ve been scrambling to put together some pictures to show the stylist the look I’m going for. This is where the problem lies. I’m no longer certain I know exactly what look I’d like to achieve on the big day. If you remember from my last hairspiration post (which was months ago) I…

Fiance's Age and Occupation: 31, Civil Engineer
Engagement Date: December 19, 2007
Wedding Date: September 2009
Venue: Barr Mansion
About Me: I just graduated from law school and will be taking the bar, getting married, going on a honeymoon with my guy, and then trying to figure out what I'm going to do with the rest of my life. I was born and raised in a small East Texas town, but I'm no country girl! I'm obsessed with British accents, fantasy (including Harry Potter, of course), and classic rock. My fiance and I consider ourselves both music and beer snobs--but every once in awhile we love to hear a crappy band and drink a cheap brew or two. We're planning an eco-friendly, casual, English garden affair for the end of summer, and we can't wait for it to get here!
Actually, it is that easy, being green.
It occurs to me that some of you who read my posts may not understand why the Dude and I want to have a “green” wedding or what having a “green” wedding even means. I’d like to share my thoughts on the matter, while at the same time recognizing that there are many ways to make your wedding and…

I’m a full-time worker, part-time student, soon-to-be-step-mom, indie music lovin’, architecture and design fanatic, macaroni and cheese addict, vegetarian, Francophile, Ohio State football obsessed, wedding planning girl. Mr. Quiche and I are “Partners-in-Crime” and cannot wait to celebrate our marriage surrounded by our family and closest friends. I plan on DIYing my little heart out (or as much as a suitcase to Jamaica will hold).
Not signs in the Five Man Electrical Band “long haired freaky people, need not apply” sense, but in the figurative sense.

I’ve expresses my love of Brian Andreas in the past (his quote even made an appearance on our invites!). This story is the very first one of his that I read, some 6 years ago, and I was hooked:

Wedding Date: March 2009

Mr. Sushi and I are both haolepinos (half Filipino, half Caucasian) and hope to be able to somehow incorporate our cultures at our destination wedding in Hawaii. All while planning from the sweetest place in earth, Hershey!
We finally got our wedding photos back from our photographer, so while I sift through 1500+ photos, I thought I’d talk about the couple outings we had on the days leading up to the wedding day. First up, our last minute, totally not planned, family hike up Diamond Head.
I go back to Hawaii every few years to visit friends, and every single time I’m there I…

Wedding Date: May, 2009
Blogging Since: September 25, 2008
Venue: St. Charles Borromeo Church/Jefferson-Orleans North
About Me: I absolutely love wedding planning, spending time with Mr. Ballet Flat, various crafts, watching football, baking, pop music, bargain hunting and ice cream. My idea of a great date night is dinner and clearance shopping with Mr. Ballet Flat! I currently live below sea level in the suburbs near New Orleans, where I make maps all day, everyday for my job. I'm slowly becoming more and more obsessed with anything New Orleans related for our wedding, and I can't wait for the big day!
-
You know, I’ve been pretty content post-wedding as far as no more planning goes. I know a lot of brides get withdrawals from anticipating the big day or even from planning. I mean, you plan for anywhere from months to a few years, and it’s all over in a day? That’s kind of a bummer, don’t you think? Well, I don’t miss the contracts, the…

Real Weddings
About: The real weddings of weddingbee readers.
The dress! Most of us girls think it’s the most important part of the wedding, but we can’t forget about our grooms!
I’m very petite and it was hard for me to find the dress that would fit me perfectly. I went to many bridal shops and couldn’t find one that I liked. I always had in mind that I would want a lacy type of…

Wedding Date: June 7, 2008

Venue: St. Catherine of Genoa, Jin Asian Cuisine Restaurant
About Me: I’m a Gemini to the extreme. On one side, I’m a girly girl. I read countless bridal and fashion magazines, and have an obsession with keeping up with the latest Hollywood gossip. On the other side, I’m a sports fanatic. Despite being a full-time bride-to be, full-time research assistant, and part-time student, I’m also a full-time Red Sox fan from spring training to October, and a full-time Patriots fan from mini-camp to February. I devote almost as much time researching my for fantasy football team as researching for our wedding!
I wasn’t 100% sure we’d be able to swing a 1-year anniversary shoot, but I’m so glad everything worked out! I’ve picked out some of my favorite photos from our anniversary shoot with NY photographer, Chris Chen, to share with you (yes, it’s more than just one picture!).

Mrs. Bruschetta, Philadelphia
Age and Occupation: 25, Communication Professional
Fiance's Age and Occupation: 25, Physical Therapy Graduate Student
Engagement Date: November 30, 2007
Wedding Date: August 2009
Venue: St. Thomas of Villanova Church & the F.U.E.L. House
About Me: I’m a self-proclaimed grammar geek who loves singing (like, really belting it) in the car. My mister and I are planning a vibrant summer soiree celebrating our passions – including food and Philly – and when we make it official, we’ll have been together for eight years! Being super competitive is in my nature, and talking excessively is in my genes. I’ve got a terrible sense of direction, but can always easily find my way into Mr. Bruschetta’s arms.

It was sugar bliss. The epitome of sweetness. Dessert heaven.
A bountiful cookie buffet, giving a nod to my Italian heritage — and supplementing the traditional wedding cake Mr. Bruschetta and I had recently embraced. I imagined servers busing ice cold milk, our guests indulging in light, layered cake and dense, freshly-baked cookies.

And then reality set in.

Wedding Date: November 2009
Venue: Cathedral of the Sacred Heart & The Jefferson Hotel

Mrs. Star, New York City
Age and Occupation: 22, Actress
Fiance's Age and Occupation: 24, Casting Assistant
Wedding Date: October 2009
Venue: Ceremony: The Kraine Theatre, Reception: Midtown Loft & Terrace
About Me: I’m a professional actress who’s always had New York City in her blood and I'm finally getting the chance to make a home in Manhattan with my fiancé, my dog, and my big dreams! I love polka dots, craft projects, Dunkin’ Donuts’ iced coffee, and anything sparkly. I’m having a blast planning our elegant/dramatic/New York City/acting-themed/largely-DIY wedding and am thrilled to be the youngest current Miss Blogger!
One of the biggest reasons I wanted to blog for Weddingbee was because I see so many bees on the boards writing about all the really tough issues they’re facing as young-ish brides. I say “young-ish” because I’ve always been kind of old for my age, but know that I still have parts of my maturity that correspond perfectly with the date on my birth…

Flush Designs, Pasadena
Vendor: Invitations, Event & Floral Design, Photography
Website: Flush Designs
About Me: Flush Designs is run and owned by me, Courtney C. Keefe de Jauregui. It is all encompassing, from the custom & handmade invitations seen at my website, to full exploration in event styling and design, to flower arranging, to playing sidekick and second shooter to my husband's wedding photography. I am working on becoming a wedding "One stop shop". :) I am a graduate in fine art painting, but a self taught graphic designer. As I still needed to get my hands dirty, I started taking letterpress classes, thus becoming my new love. When I am not busy working (usually still in my pajamas) and telling myself to remember to buy a new chair (this one hurts), I am singing to my 3 cats and enjoying a cold pint with my husband at our favorite local Irish pub. Maybe it's in the reverse order. :)

The wedding day was a crazy day, but we got it done. Whew! And were we tired. We did the flowers for a wedding at the Biltmore hotel in Los Angeles with 250 guests. We were able to take a few pics but not as many as I would have liked. Hopefully, the bride’s photographer took some more for me.
Break down of flowers totaling over…
