We’re excited to introduce our newest round of icons: Weather & the elements! We’ve been doing several rounds of foods and animals lately, and thought it was a good time to switch it up! Check out these great icons that our talented artist, Irene, made for us! Which is your favorite? I’d have to say that I love Miss Sunbeam—she’s so sassy!
We’re always brainstorming new and future generations of bees. We’re currently throwing around ideas for a sea creature generation and a junk food generation! If you have any great ideas, we’d love to hear them!
Speaking of future generations, May was an exciting month for us—8 bees got married! So, we’re looking for brides (and grooms!) to follow in their footsteps. Those are some pretty big shoes to fill! All I know is that Miss Lightning better be one sassy bride! 
I LOVE the sunbeam … she is SO cute. I re-apply for another week or two. Oh how I long to be Miss Sunbeam!
Miss Sprinkle was the first one I noticed…but then I saw the subtle shout-out to Philly as part of Miss Lightning’s icon!

These are so cute!! They might be my favorite generation so far!! Definitely LOVE Miss Sunbeam. If I wasn’t so chicken (and if I were getting married btwn now and Feb 2010) I’d pick her for sure.
Totally cute! I love the star! Is it just me or does the style of the pictures seem different than all the past bee icons?
Ooooh, star and moonbeam are adorable. If I wasn’t so shy I’d take up blogging and apply and try to be one of those two, but I’m barely brave enough to post a comment here or in the boards, let alone write a whole blog :-[

Got to love the cloud! Even when it’s raining, the newlyweds have one another’s love. Everything else is “icing on the cake.”

They are all very cute! I have to ask, though, and I hate to be the rain on the parade, but should we possibly call them something other than weather? I guess I’m just not seeing the connection between weather and Moonbeam, Star, and Dawn. Really though, great job once again Irene!
@Lillindy: What do you suggest? Perhaps we can come up with something more appropriate!
@Mrs. Penguin: I’m sure it’s the tricky part for you guys, too, because I was trying to think of something, but so far I’ve got nothing. I hope we do have some grooms apply because I think it would be cool to have a Mr. Lightning!
Oh, I love the moonbeam! These are so cute. What about calling them the “nature” series or the “earth” series?
Sky series? The dew drop is a bit of a stretch but it -is- condensed water from the atmosphere…

so cute….I love sunbeam and sprinkles! Each time new icons come out it makes me a bit sad I never got my blog together and applied! Any chance I could be a past-tense blogger since the wedding is next week?
In terms of graphics I love dewdrop & Moonbeam! But Snow would be perfect for where we live. =)

For a category name, I think “Weather & the Elements” works much better than just “Weather”.
You can call the category “Durr, I dunno”, and I’ll still love them all.

Dewdrop is my favorite, but they are all so cute! I love the idea of instruments as another group or junkfood. Maybe by the time those groups roll around I can actually apply!

Those are adorable! I would SO be Miss Rainbow…it’s just so nostalgic in a My Little Pony way! I’m not sure about the Dawn one, though - just doesn’t work for me.
Looking at Dawn once more, a Miss Sunset probably would’ve been cute too!
