A Pretty Little Dress

June 5th, 2009 @ 2:28 pm by Mrs. Mascara

Ladies and gents, we have a flower girl dress. I had previously posted about some of the options, but never gave you the final selection! I’m sure you’ve been waiting in suspense. Or not.

Either way, when I first laid eyes on this adorable dress from TheBoutiqueBaby on Etsy, I knew it was the one.

Since the seller only had pink and cream available, I asked if she could make the same dress in ivory to match the color of my wedding dress. She said yes, and a couple weeks later I had a pretty little dress for our flower girl!

While I was home a few weeks ago for my bridal shower, I had Ali try it on to make sure it fit. She was being a little shy, so this is the only picture I have of her, and it is blurry!

You’ll just have to trust me when I say it is beautiful on her! I love that the bubble hem matches the hem of the bridesmaids’ dresses, and the little fabric flowers are just too cute! I also love that it is a little away from the norm, being short and all. I can’t wait to see her walk down the aisle in this dress!

Did you opt for a non-traditional flower girl dress?

Um, does that come in a women’s size 8? I went with a tutu from Etsy’s Trinity’s Tuts - a little out of the norm but at least my flower girls will be happy!

Very cute. I’m thinking of a yellow seersucker dress for my flower girl, of a similar length as yours. Love it!

I actually recommended this dress for my friend’s flower girls! Too cute! We are going with JCrew Crewcuts dresses that we got on sale.

Cute!
I have 5 flower girls so I opted for cheap little sun dresses from Target.

@roguesparkle: 5 flower girls! WOW! You will need a 6th one a few years older to wrangle the other 5.

Yes, I opted for a non-traditional flower girl dress, too! It’s this one, from MyGirlDress.com:

They are ADORABLE, & you can’t beat the $29.50 price! The style goes so well with our modern, urban wedding with a vintage touch.

@mrspaetz: Because to me, a “traditional” flower girl dress looks more like these…

@Muffet: I don’t think she makes adult clothing…but you could convo her and ask!
@roguesparkle: wow FIVE flowergirls? They are going to be sooo cute I’m sure!
@mrsh2be: What a cute dress! It looks like that website has a ton of options for little girl dresses!
