Look what the mailman brought today!

Mr. Lab’s wedding ring!!!

AND…

My first bridal shower invite!!!

Mr. Lab’s ring is absolutely SEXY. I cannot wait for him to be wearing it every day. I won’t get to see it on him for another 2 weeks when I’ll be on a break between internships. I’m sure I’ll cheat and make him wear it around the house.

I couldn’t resist having a quick photo shoot with his ring and mine today. Too bad my wedding band is back at home with him right now and couldn’t join in on the fun.

As for the bridal shower invite, I LOVE it! It reminds me of this Kate Spade “Gwinnett Lane Cream” dinnerware we were *this close* to registering for:

But I have a feeling Mr. Lab in all his manly glory would not have approved of such a girly pattern. Haha.Speaking of registering, we have to finish up! We got an early start but then put off finishing for too long, and now we’re scrambling to complete the list before people start trying to buy from it for the shower! I didn’t realize that my FMIL would be planning a shower so soon. More on that fiasco later…

Those invites are adorable! It’s always nice to get snail-mail that does not contain bills!

The invites are lovely! And my guy and I had similar disagreements on china ;). I wanted florals; they reminded him of his mother (and as soon as he pulled THAT card, I HAD to capitulate!).

Mr. Lab’s ring looks great and what pretty invited. Sadly, I don’t think my guy would go for the Kate Spades either. Maybe you could just really emphasize the whole “manly” blue and brown motif and just gloss over the the whole pink floral aspect. That’s my plan. *fingers crossed*

I wanted those plates too… well just the platter, but they have a gold trim and ours our platinum I just didn’t match and I couldn’t do it. That sounds so silly now that I type it.

Those rings are beautifu! I was wondering the same thing about where you got his ring. We’re having a hard time finding something my fiance likes. He’s not sure if he should go simple, or try for something with more of a design to it. Any suggestions for stores? We’ve already made the rounds of Cartier, Tiffany, etc. (we live in NYC).

Miss lab!! We have the e-x-a-c-t same rings!! too funny! My fiance’s ring is identical to Mr. Lab’s and mine is the same as yours!!!! I can’t get over it?! Is his tungsten? (spelling?) anyway, good taste all around

Congrats on the ring! I was planning on registering for the Kate Spade set also, but they have ones that are just brown or just teal, which I thought was more manly. However, I found reviews online from brides who had major problems with the dishes breaking easily - so don’t be too sad about the dishes.

@Golden139: I ended up registering half the multi-colored and half the chocolate. I figured that we wouldn’t have many chances to use all of them together, so it’ll be like having 2 separate sets (kinda one for breakfast-ish and one for dinner). But if we needed to combine them for several guests, they still compliment each other! Make sense? Basically the best of both worlds!

@Jessica & bakerbride & karilynn6: Amazon.com for $24 shipped! I wrote a more detailed post a few entries earlier if you’re interested in checking it out. Karilynn, I hope ours don’t break since I registered for them before seeing your comment! Now I’m nervous!

@bugaboo: That is too funny! I’m with you, great minds! It’s funny because although we got our rings at chain stores, I’ve yet to see anyone with something that looks like ours except on the internet!
