Too Late?

June 6th, 2009 @ 11:20 am by Mrs. French Bulldog

With less than three months to go, is it too late to change our venue and move the wedding to the East Coast?

*SWOOOON*

Too Late? : wedding venues Arch1 arch1

I recently saw the DREAMY ceremony site on Style Me Pretty. It is straight out of a fairytale!

Too Late? : wedding venues First 2 first-22

These photos are from the wedding of Mikel and David, in St Michael’s, MD. Wait, I have family in MD! I could totally move our wedding… right? I love our country/bird themed wedding, but every once in awhile I run across a drool-worthy wedding and I wonder – “What if?”

If you could change your venue, where would you move your wedding?

yum yum yum yum! That site is beautiful! I have to say, I would probably not change our ceremony site. I love it! It’s on a small golf course, and behind us will be a little pond and beautiful old trees and maybe a golfer or two. We are very simple peeps, so the site works for us. But how amazing would it be to be married like…in a castle or on a beach with a sunset…I’m so cheesy!

I love to haunt that site as well. Dreamy eye candy.

Reminds me of a northeastern version of my OTHER favorite type of venue like that.

Have you seen Miss Frenchie this place? Cloister Gardens at the One and Only Ocean Club on Paradise Island in the Bahamas? Been there and swooned. Bout’ fell over in fact!

That “church” is worthy of a fairytale. I guess if I were to pick a dream destination, we would actuall get married on the beach, barefoot in the sand. However, we are having our reception at the beach so I can’t complain.

Don’t be too disappointed! Keep in mind that the mid-Atlantic is freakin’ humid this time of year and prone to unpredictable thunderstorms and other weather events. There’s pretty good chance that you guys would either had a) guests fainting because of the heat b) make-up melting or c) had to move to a blah indoor space because of rain. Outdoor weddings tend to go much more smoothly in Southern California!

That might be the prettiest chapel EVER. I just showed it to my husband and he went “Oooooh.” I said, “One of the Weddingbee bloggers is asking if it’s too late to move her wedding there. Is it to late to move OUR wedding there??”

(Our wedding was 7 months ago). :P

However, it appears it’s a private residence, so they might not hire the venue out to just anyone.

We *did* change our venue… just 2 & 1/2 months away from our wedding date :) It just suddenly hit us that since this is our ONE wedding, we should have it at our dream venue. We decided to get married at The St. Regis in San Francisco, which is such a beautifully modern, urban hotel. It’s totally my & DF’s style! We’re getting married on a terrace overlooking part of downtown.

That gorgeous venue SO reminds me of this…

When my sister (Miss Bunny!) and I were in Bermuda last May, we stumbled across that incredible unfinished church in St. Georges. I’ve thought about it many times since as the perfect venue for a destination wedding! Bermuda is an incredible little island…too bad I’m not even engaged or anything.

oh my!! that is gorgeous!

i’m 26 days away and just last month i realized that the very gorgeous & dramatic National Geographic flagship store in my area was available for private events!
how gorgeous that would be for our travel-themed wedding?! (we’re ‘rough it out’ travelers).

ah well. i’m still loving my current venue :)

Breathtaking. Maybe I’ll build one someday so I can enjoy it. :)
