But unlike my friend Brit, I’m not cry-cry-crying. Well, not out of loneliness, anyway. Let me explain.
My bridesmaids threw me the most wonderful, thoughtful and memorable bridal shower EVER. I’ll post about it once I receive the pictures from the “photographers”. Yup, there were people assigned to be the “photographers”… how great are they?!? So I will have to keep you waiting on the details, but I will tell you that there was a lot of laughing, eating (yum!) and yes, a little bit of (good) crying.
In the meantime, I’ll let you in on a little secret… I knew that my bridesmaids would throw me an amazing shower. They’re a creative, fun-loving group and that’s just what creative, fun-loving groups do… amazing stuff. And I had heard snippets about emails being sent, pictures being collected and heat embossers being used. All the makings of an amazing bridal shower.
I wanted to thank them for all their hard work and thoughtfulness so after the shower, I presented each lady with one of these:

Each “THANK YOU” bag contained 3 things I wanted to thank them for:

THANK YOU…

…FOR BEING SO SWEET. Miss Bruschetta had posted a while ago about her triple-chocolate mini biscotti recipe and I was dying to eat, err I mean, make them for my bridesmaids. So I made a batch and packaged them up in this cute little box. And yes, they are so yum.

…FOR SHOWERING ME WITH LOVE. I got these cute little heart soaps from Sabon for $2 each. Soap = Shower. Heart = Love. Get it?

…FOR LIGHTING UP MY DAY. I bought some tea light candle holders from IKEA ($2.99 for a pack of 5), added some tea lights and tied them up all pretty in this bag.
Although this bag wasn’t nearly enough to show all of my gratitude and appreciation, I hope that they felt a little bit of the love through this little gift. OH, but there’s more. I also wanted to thank the wonderful ladies who attended the shower. So following Mrs. Ballet Flat’s lead, I made these cute cupcake pops!

Ever since I saw these on Bakerella’s site, I have been looking for a reason to make them. They were pretty easy to make (I took the easy route and used chocolate molds) and am super excited with how they turned out! I wanted them to look like flowers so I bought a metal flower pot, stuck the lollipops into some green floral foam and covered it up with some leftover batting I had from my felt pillow and flower projects. AHH, SO cute!!!

How did you thank you shower hostesses and attendees?
