I’m not sure I can top the Mister’s awesome gift to me, however, here it goes…
For our paper anniversary, I stuck to the theme and bought The Mister 1 share of Disney Stock from FrameAStock.com. FrameAStock.com allows you to purchase a single share of stock and an actual stock certificate that can be framed as a gift.
I had the one share of Disney framed along with a little plaque that read, “Happy 1st Anniversary. Thanks for all the magical memories, and may there be many more to come!” I think he really liked it!
This was the perfect gift for Hubby because he LOVES watching the stock market. Before our anniversary, he actually joked that he was going to buy me stock for our anniversary (stock= paper)… little did he know!
As a word of advice, if you plan to order from FrameAStock.com, make sure you leave plenty of time before your anniversary (or any other event)! The stock order will take 3-5 weeks for delivery! As it turns out, I didn’t quite order early enough, but FrameAStock.com sent along a replica (pictured above) for me to wrap up for Mr. Toucan. We have since gotten the real stock certificate, but I didn’t take any pictures of it!
Continuing on with the paper theme, I also asked the very talented Mrs. Gummi Bear for a custom illustration of our little family–me, the Mister, and our little kitty, Saki!
I am seriously in love with it (gah! How cute is little kitty!?), and I’m planning to have it printed and framed for our front hallway!

my favorite 1st anniv gift i’ve seen is the woman at Dreamlines who will take a photo of you form your wedding day and make an original sketch of your wedding gown that you can frame! SO cute!!!

That’s such a fun gift! My FBIL gave disney stock to his nieces when they were born. I think its such a good gift for anyone!

For our first anniversary, I got my husband a collection of books (that were really old)…he loves to read and loves collecting books.
So cool! I thought about buying some of these stocks a while back and hanging them in our office (Uh… but we dont have an office… hahah). What a great and appropriate gift!!!
Just had to say you two are so adorable. I love how genuine you are together and how happy you are around each other…makes me want to show angst-ridden couples how it should be done! Happy Anniversary!
Oh my gosh. I LOVE that illustration. It’s so cute without being overly anime. Not that I don’t like anime, i just like that their expressions aren’t overdone!! It’s AMAZING! I can’t wait for her shop to open!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get ready for some business, Mrs. Gummi Bear!!!

Wow..what a neat idea!…I just ordered a Framed Disney Stock for father’s day in that same black frame from Frameastock.com…It should get here by Friday…what a cool gift! I think I will order one for my anniversary too..but that will not be until August…Thanks for sharing your great gift idea Mrs. T.!
