An Event & A Confession…

June 17th, 2009 @ 5:51 pm by Mrs. Gloss

We got our first wedding gift in the mail last week! It was SO exciting, and made everything feel so much more real!

An Event and A Confession... : wedding registry First W

We got all our new glasses and a tablecloth with matching napkins (don’t worry, we haven’t used them yet!). Thanks, Auntie L!

So, now comes the confession…

An Event and A Confession... : wedding registry First G

Yes, that would be a screen shot of our registry above, and I was able to capture it because I can’t NOT visit… every day… multiple times.

Confession :
I am a full-blown registry stalker.

Any other addicts out there? How much do you check your registry? Should we form a support group? :)

I just started stalking my registries a couple of days ago…and found that people have started buying us things! So, of course, I haven’t been able to stop stalking since. I keep thinking: Wow, this wedding is actually happening! :D

I haven’t started yet but when we visited our registry for the first time since registering last night we discovered almost everything was gone! I freaked out. We didn’t register for much because we’re encouraging people to contribute to our house down payment fund, but still. Also, we totally registered for the Otis glasses too. Good taste!

my wedding is not until October but I already check it every week or two….if not to see if anything has been purchased to add some more goodies! It’s like a really nice, really long, christmas list with pictures :)

I was a major stalker as well. Maybe every other day. Whenever I was finished reading WB and the other blogs I read I would move on to that. If you can help it though, don’t do it! It makes it so much more fun when you didn’t know it was coming!

Admitted stalker here! It makes it that much more exciting and real! There is also a useful purpose for stalking too so that you can make sure the things you registered for are still available.

Girl, I stalked my registry as much as I stalk weddingbee!! It is so natural and so fun!! Why wouldn’t we want to stalk it! I got married three weeks ago and I still stalk it!-just a little less-:)

I stalked it at first but I have started to just stay off it
I am someone who likes to be surprised. Part of me really wants to know…but I also really like being surprised.
The rule in our house is that the FI can go on but I don’t . If anyone needs to tell us to change someone…or a family member needs to give us a heads up about a gift they bought that wasn’t on the registry..they tell him.
That way we are able to stay on top of it and I can still be surprised

I did…until the shower. Now I guess no one will buy us anything until just before the wedding. sigh — one of my favorite preoccupations gone (temporarily)

I also have a problem!! I’m so glad it’s not only me. My fi yells at me like every day about it. He wants us to be surprised and he insists that I not tell him ANYTHING that’s been bought. It doesn’t stop me from blurting things out though! I’ll be really excited over an item and tell him and he says “DON’T TELL ME!!” And I’ll say ok and then 5 minutes later I blurt out “butitwasourstirfrypan!!!!” Luckily, he just laughs… but he really thinks I need to stop. It’s just toooo addicting though!!

I don’t have a registry yet - I’m not sure I need another site to stalk just yet ;)
