Meet my birdies! They’re such hotties. Last week, I headed home to Virginia for my b-party festivities hosted by these lovely ladies. I should have known this was going to be the mother of all bridal showers based on the invitations I received weeks ago. But I had no idea… NO IDEA… how crazy and balls out they went.

I have such a hard time expressing in words how special these ladies are to me. Simply put, I love them and I really didn’t deserve all that they did for me that day. They did a phenomenal job with the Breakfast at Tiffany’s themed shower! So much thought was put into the celebration, with no detail overlooked.

Meet Jen, team captain of the bridesmaids… master of delegating. She’s such a tomboy, like hardcore tomboy. She let me dress her up that day in my Banana Republic dress I scored for $19.99 at the outlet store. Her legs were covered in bruises from a sand soccer tournament she played in the week prior. See, tomboy. So cute.

The bridesmaids rented out the club room of a friend’s condo to host the event. Here’s a closer look at the sign created by Hojo, which followed the theme of the invitations she designed and assembled from scratch. Talented, yah? Another bride called dibs on her services for her upcoming wedding in March. It’s so nice to have a graphic designer in your circle of friends so long as we don’t abuse her generosity!

Guests were greeted with a cup of overflowing pearl necklaces.

The bridesmaids prepared breakfast delights including yogurt parfaits, blueberry pancakes, pastries, mimosas… and my personal favorite, miniature spam and rice musubis (which unfortunately, I don’t have a picture of).

While guests ate, a slideshow played in the background. Aside from my ugly baby photos (yes I was awkward looking as a baby), the bridesmaids included pictures of me and each guest from over the years. It was such a nice touch (minus the photos where I was slightly inebriated).

And then the games commenced! We started off with ever-so popular , ‘How well do they know each other?’ After I answered questions about the Mr, videos of him answering each question was played on the big screen. I have no idea what I thought was so funny, but my Aunt beside me clearly looks disgusted. On a random note, I LOVED my skirt. The Mr surprised me with it the day before I left for home back east.

The next game was bridal trivia. Even the question sheet was decorated in line with the theme. I told ya! No detail overlooked! Here’s the question sheet for any of you who are interested!

And finally, my favorite game… bridal Pictionary. We had some good artists in the group…

But no one went home empty-handed! Every guest was given a beautiful manicure set and keychain packaged like so…

Opening gifts is always fun. Everyone was so sweet! I was gifted with lingerie, home goods from the registry, etc. One unexpected gift I did receive was from my bridesmaids. On top of everything that they had already done, as a final gift, they handed me this…

Each petal is engraved with their first initial. The Big A is for yours truly, a very grateful bride-to-be.

I know I am so blessed to have these wonderful women in my life. It’s weird referring to us as ‘women’, because I still feel like we act the same as we did in high school and college. Immature and silly! Yeeup. I am one lucky girl to have these ladies standing by my side on my wedding day. Love you girls! Tweet!
