I have this little joke going in my head, a joke that started way back when the first reader called me out on not posting pics, and continued when it was pointed out that I wasn’t doing any wedding planning, or DIYing anything, or really doing much except talk about my relationship with my fiance.
The joke is that I could totally be a faker, acting as if I was getting married but secretly a teenager with no hopes of dating or a retired teacher with free time on her hands. Okay, so that sounds more creepy than funny, but it still makes me laugh.
I’m not, though, and I have proof, courtesy of my fabulous photographer Angela:
Although, I suppose that could just be a picture of me putting on makeup wearing a pretty fabulous veil (courtesy of the lovely Kasia) just to fake you out, so here’s another one…
Dress – check. Veil – check. Lovely MOH in the background getting ready – check. See? I’m for real! But lest you STILL not believe me, I’ll offer one more:

@West Coast Bride: Heh, heh. Not falling for the bait! But yes, I was really happy. And then teary. And in one of the ones from right before I walked down “the aisle,” you can see me looking up at the sky… I was praying. “God, I don’t think I can do this. Really. I think I might puke.”
Oh, WCB, I forgot to say, I’ll do recaps as soon as I get the edited pics… next week, I think. Patience! (And, ahem, have I seen an email with pics from YOUR wedding? DIDN’T THINK SO.}
You know, I mainly read this blog for the wedding porn, but I have to say that your posts have always been some of my favorites, mainly because I really appreciate how honest you are and I relate to some of your struggles. Oh, and you look lovely in your pictures! Can’t wait to see more.
Gorgeous! I’d like to point out that although these photos are black and white, there’s no evidence you half- assed the paint job in that room (aka, no paint on the ceiling!).

Yeah, I really appreciated your posts about your relationship because I don’t want to forget about how important relationship-building is during all of this wedding craziness. I also really appreciated how honest you were about having anxiety and doubts because I think most of us do at some point and it can be very isolating. So thanks! And you look amazing, too

Mrs. Cheese, you were a beautiful bride! I can’t wait to see the rest of your pictures. I do have a question for you about your dress. I have a similar body type as you do - large chest that doesn’t fit proportionately with the rest of my body. Was your dress comfortable, and did it feel great throughout the night? I’ve heard a lot of large-chested brides opt for strapless dresses, but they make me nervous. I want to feel comfortable, and I don’t want to worry about showing inappropriate boobage when I’m dancing. I’ll be dress shopping soon, and would love to hear if strapless was comfortable.

You look so pretty! Also, I loved your relationship posts. Yes, we all like to read about wedding planning topics such as DIYing, and flowers, and attire, and blah blah blah, but your posts often focused on planning for the marriage, which is of course the MOST important. Negotiating with your caterer on menu choices and guest count is interesting, but learning how to properly negotiate with your soon-to-be husband on how you two are going to navigate wedded life is a bit more significant…

I love that you’re using your Blackberry. We took to calling my the “BrideBerry”. My (now) husband took it away from me and kept it in his suit pocket. I checked it between the wedding and the reception… then it was a WifeBerry!!
