I’ve written way too many of these dress posts, ladies. I’ve shared body image issues, I’ve lamented about length, and I’ve waffled on my oh-so-confident choices not once, not twice, but thrice. I’m not going to make you sift through my insecurities and justifications for my wishy-washiness. I’m just going to show you the fourth (and final) dress of this four-dress bride.

This is my dress. I love it. It’s fancier than the sun dresses. It’s frilly and feminine. It shows my shape. It covers my knees. And it was $192.00 ($16 shipping). And I cut the tags off. This. Is. My. Dress.

I wore my shoes, expecting to have Mr. Mary Jane snap a few photos in our living room or somewhere else indoors and dry. But the light on this dreary day was best in our backyard. So I went out in to the too-long, wet grass (we mowed it four days ago swear!) and came back lookin’ like this. At least it was just water. They dried.
FYI, here’s the dress on the model.

It’s strapless in the store’s pic, but oddly it actually has spaghetti straps. I prefer the strapless, so I’ll probably remove them (though tucking them in worked pretty well, too). I would like the sash on mine to fall at about where it’s falling on her. (She’s got to be a good 4″ to 6″ shorter than I am.) I’m planning to remove the black sash and replace it either with another black sash, or a sash with green elements in it to match my shoes. Either way, the new sash will be wider and lower. The current location of the sash (on me) looks like it’s cutting my midsection in half, I think. I’m also going to have it professionally steamed: it’s wrinkled!!
If you want this dress, it’s by Cachet, and I got it at Belk.com. It runs large: I’m normally a snug 10, and this 8 has some room to spare. Kudos to WB member NC Girl for hooking me up with the link! Less than three months from the wedding date, I have finally checked “Dress” off my list.
Finished.
Done.
Th-Th-Th-Th-That’s All, Folks!
Did you have trouble finding THE dress?

Who says I can only wear it on one day?
Revisit the entire series:
Part One: I hit the stores.
Part Two: I go nuts at Nordstom.com.
Part Three: A brown suit becomes my wedding dress. (That’s dress #1!)
Part Four: I ditch the suit for a $14 Penney’s sun dress (Dress #2!)
Part Five: Goodbye, new sun dress, hello, old sun dress (Dress #3!)
Part Six: Readers give me great options and I buy one of them.
Part Seven: (This post!)
