Based on the title, you’re probably thinking this post is going to be about our linens, but it’s about calligraphy. As you learned in my fruity shower post, BM F and I met in college. She would sit and practice her handwriting when she needed something to do with her hands. I can’t tell you how many times we’d be sitting in the cafeteria and I’d look down to see “Napkin” scrolled across her napkin (natch) a bazillion times in the most beautiful handwriting you’ve ever seen.
My handwriting isn’t bad; it worked great for our Engagement Party invites and STDIs, but it is more casual. So, naturally, I asked BM F if she would do the calligraphy for our wedding invitations.
Here are the samples she gave me today…

Options A & C are a little too fancy for my taste. Personally, I like the whimsy of the others more, and they will go better with our invitations.

Option E looks the most professional.
I love B, E and F, but F was my favorite. It’s totally legible (although really, they all are), and clean, and *just* the right amount of cutesy. 
Way cool! I like E the best, but it was a tough choice!
I like D because it looks the most consistent, and it goes really well with your invites!
I did A because that is the way my calligraphy handwriting comes out no matter what I do For a second I thought you had lifted my writing for that one!
I do like B a lot… If only I could do it!

I picked B ~ but I like E and D as well. This reminded me about how I also kept my hands busy in college by doodling fancy words … hmm, maybe I should practice again and try to do my own calligraphy! 
I liked option A the best, but seeing as you wanted something less formal, I went with option E. It’s just the right amount of whimsy.
I liked “E” the best, but I thought “B” best matches the calligraphy text in the proof. So I voted B.
That’s impressive! I voted for E, but they all look great!
I love A.
I picked E, but I really like the capital M in option B.
What does “natch” mean?

That was an amazingly tough choice… I voted for Option D, but I mentally eeny-meeny-miney-moe’d between 3 of them. They’re all gorg!
I like Option B if nothing more than the fancy ‘w’s she does!
