PSA: Don’t Drink and DIY…

June 19th, 2009 @ 5:46 pm by Mrs. D'orsay

Because you see, when you drink and DIY, you’re bound to make mistakes. Mistakes that you’ll likely have to go back and fix. Especially when you and one of your MOHs get together after a year of being in separate countries, and um, a box of Franzia (I mean, they were all out of Andre… what do you expect).

This led to the exposure of my inner mathematical genius… where 50 - 15 = 45. And where I forgot to purchase half of the ribbon we’d need (okay… I did that one sober). Not to mention inside out belly band bows and tissue paper flowers with *slight* differences.

I’m so impressed! I can’t wait for the how-to! I’d love to use them to decorate our rehearsal dinner spot, but don’t know if it’s do-able the week of our wedding (since that’s when we get there). Great job!

UH-OH! I’m a glass of vino in, with rollers in my hair. FI is on his bachelor weekend and I’m working on my hair DIY trial. If mine ends half as well as yours, I’ll be impressed with myself! Your poms are gorgeous!!

HAHAH! This post has inspired me to grab a box o’ wine (just like we used to in college!), my BMs and make some poms! Can’t wait to see the how-to, because they look great!

Are these the Martha Stewart poms? They look amazing. I’m planning on doing the mini version on my napkin rings. (or rather, I’m planning on getting my bridesmaids to HELP me make 150 of them)

heehee :)

We had girlfriends, vino and copious amounts of wine whilst assembling invitations. Needless to say, the paper cutter was put to use the next day to do some, ah, straightening out. oops!

I choreographed a show in college for my theatre group, and I always did my best work after a few cocktails ;-)

Fabulous poms! See how great poms are? Even when you were buzzed they came out beautifully!

Oh, I so drank and diy’d… Someone should issue citations for that! It was helpful with some of the more monotonous tasks, though ;)

I love how 90% of brides do their best DIY work after a few glasses, bottles, or boxes :)

The poms are too cute! :) I had a strict policy on drinking and diy, because I am super clumsy and make lots of mistakes- sober!
