Mrs. Bunny's Picture
Mrs. Bunny, Columbus Age and Occupation: 24, Associate Editor/Reporter Fiance's Age and Occupation: 27, Reporter Engagement Date: September 23, 2008 Wedding Date: July 2009 Venue: Everal Barn, Westerville About Me: Organized, but messy. I love art (all kinds). I don't have any secrets. I talk a lot and listen even more. I show love by baking. I'm timid by nature, but brave when it counts. Mr. Bunny and I work at competing weekly newspapers, which makes it a little interesting trying to describe our work joys and frustrations without giving away too much before the paper comes out. In spite of that little hurdle, we've managed to build a pretty solid relationship in the short one-and-a-half years we will have been together when we tie the knot. I can't wait!
About Mrs. Bunny

Mr. Bunny is a huge zombie-movie fan, so there’s no way he could resist attending the third annual Zombie Walk Columbus, downtown, earlier this month!

Zombie Brides -- The Ultimate TTD : wedding wedding dress Img 681 In case you’ve never heard of them, zombie walks are mostly a great excuse for people to dress up and scare others when it’s not Halloween.

Kidding, kind of. Really, it’s a fun canned food drive for the Mid-Ohio Food Bank. “Raise the dead to feed the living” is their slogan. Clever, right?

Mr. Bunny wasn’t too keen on attending our shower in his hometown a few weeks ago, so I made him a deal. I’d go to the Zombie Walk if he came to the shower. Nice guy that he is, he didn’t make me dress up.

Zombie Brides -- The Ultimate TTD : wedding wedding dress Zombieb Mr. Bunny looks terrifying! I just look zoned out.

What does all this have to do with weddings? Well, check it out.

Zombie Brides -- The Ultimate TTD : wedding wedding dress Img 679 A zombie bride! There were several of these ladies running around in Goodale Park Saturday.

Wouldn’t something like this make for the Ultimate Trash The Dress shoot? If that was her real dress, this bride is hardcore! I wouldn’t be up for dousing my dress in blood, but I’d consider a sweet, undead-themed photo shoot. Mr. Bunny would be all about it.

Zombie Brides -- The Ultimate TTD : wedding wedding dress Img 67901 This bride had a kid in tow. I wonder how many years I’d have to keep my dress tucked away in the closet before I said “Heck with it,” whipped it out, ripped it to shreds, and added fake blood.

Zombie Brides -- The Ultimate TTD : wedding wedding dress Img 67902 Yes, my friends. This bride has ripped her groom’s heart out and is eating it! But what’s even more horrifying are the stains on the dress.

What say you? Any brides out there who would sacrifice their dress for a bloody, zombie photo shoot?

Any newbie to the site would be completely confused by this post. I love it! You’re a good sport for doing the walk - it looked like a blast :) Maybe hit goodwill after wedding season and pick up an inexpensive dress and indulge your man w/ a zombie themed ttd - that’d be great!

Haha, I love it! I don’t think I could “zombify” my dress, but I could do it to a goodwill one :)

I should have put some kind of warning on this post! Every time I look at it I’m shocked by the amount of blood … er … sorry, everyone!

That is pretty much awesome! While I might hesitate to zombify my own dress, I think I’d have no problem getting a discount one and doing it up right! I know my fiance would love this to pieces! Very cool!

haha-something neither my fiance or I would ever take part in (just not our style), but I think the post is really funny! I have never heard of such a thing-what a creative way to throw a food drive! My best friend would be all over this!

Wow I wonder if those are their real wedding gowns they wore! I don’t think I could do it either…I dont know what Ill do with my dress after the wedding…except keep bringing it out and trying it on and dancing around my house in it!!! Have you seen the friends episode where Rachel, Monica, and Pheobe are all dressed up in wedding gowns just hanging out on the couch! Maybe some day one of my stepdaughters to be can wear it!!! These pictures are pretty cool and I 2nd the goodwill idea for you next yr as a zombie bride! How cool is your town to have something like this!

That would be a fun walk. But I wouldn’t use my dress in it. I’m sure most of those zombie brides got those dresses from Goodwill just for the walk.

I don’t think I could do it by the bride eating her grooms heart is a pretty awesome zombie idea!

This post is making me nostalgic for afternoons in Goodale Park with my doggie (I moved back to Louisiana after I graduated last year).

I totally would have dressed up. It’s kind of awesome! Ha!

I wouldn’t do it because I don’t really see the point of TTD…why would you want to ruin something you may have a lot of money on? Sell it or donate it! (But that’s just my personal opinion).

The zombie bride with the child reminded me of a time that my mom wore her wedding dress as a costume for a Halloween party. She dressed as the bride of Frankenstein, and there was some fake blood, white make-up, and a wig involved. She looked *great* — my then-five-year-old self was actually scared of her and refused to go near her in the costume! (Her dress was my father’s mother’s wedding dress before hers and had been altered down several sizes to fit her. I’m pretty sure there’s no way it could have been sold or worn again.)

Love it. Did something similar with a prom dress once - covered it in blood and wore it to an Apocalypse party. So I’d have to say I’d definitely do this to my dress.

You could do a “ghost bride” TTD and not have to ruin the dress. Just cover yourself in flour. lol
