Bridal Luncheon Invitation

June 22nd, 2009 @ 4:31 pm by Mrs. Apple Cider

My sister and grandmother will be throwing me and my bridesmaids a luncheon the day before the wedding. I am really excited for the event. I think it will be sweet and fun, and exactly what we need to kick off the weekend. We decided on an adorable location. We will be having a “tea”, complete with scones, cucumber sandwiches, and hats. Yes, I said hats!!

I decided to design the invitation and would love advice from the hive on what invitation you all like best. It is so fun making all of these invitations!!!

The location of the shower is the Azalea Inn, and one of the owners has a room called “Karen’s Tearoom” where she hosts teas. Azalea Inn has several hats you can wear while experiencing their afternoon tea… or  you can wear your own. I am so excited!

Did you get to participate in designing your shower/luncheon invites? Did you enjoy it as much as I did?

#1 reminds me of the little beaded/lace accent we saw during one of your recent custom wedding dress update posts — but I also love how #3 looks like fancy doilies!

#2 is my favorite. I like the look of #3, but I really like the picture of the lady in the hat.

#1…the lace background is beautiful!

The “L” in Bridal looks way too small, almost like an “E”. I know it’s the font but it just rather odd. Anyway, I vote for version 1, I love how the lace looks almost wrapped around the card!

As a grammar freak, the wording should read “After all the planning, the big day is almost here!” with a comma. I vote for the first version.

I agree with dddd89 regarding the “l” in Bridal. In terms of design, out of #1 and #2, I like the look of #1 best, but I really like #3- seems like a cleaner design of all of them.

Number 2! I think the important info (time and place) stands out more without the lace background. Such a cute design!

I love them all!!! And my mother and I hosted a Tea in honor of my bridesmaids and a few very special Aunts. It was really great, but to tell you the truth, I don’t really remember it! I had so much on my mind, we threw it the day before my wedding, I wish I stopped to really enjoy it!

#3 is my favorite. LOVE IT! But since the hats are so fabulous and the girl in hat is adorable, I might be tempted to go with my second choice: #2.

I like #1 and #3 best, but I’d put more space above each. It seems too tight. You could even reduce the size of the “A Bridal Luncheon”

I like number 2 best. I like the girl in the hat and think that number 1 has too much text.

I love them all but have to ask- where did you get the lace graphics? I wanted to use lace on my invites but couldn’t find the right graphic and yours are perfect!

Hi Miss A.C. (or anyone else interested in hats) — Great idea! But do you need hats? I’m trying to sell the ones we used @ our cocktail hour. See

#2 is definitely my favorite. I love the image of the woman in the hat! Sounds like it’ll be a lot of fun!
