Mr. Bunny and I work at competing weekly newspapers, which makes it a little interesting trying to describe our work joys and frustrations without giving away too much before the paper comes out. I Lurrrrve My Wedding Band

June 23rd, 2009 @ 12:13 pm by Mrs. Bunny

Behold my wedding band!

Here it is, resting on the roof of my car.

And here it is on my left hand.

(Sorry for the cruddy camera phone pic)

Eeek! I know, I know, I’m not supposed to be wearing it yet.

But see how it’s openwork? Mr. B and I wanted to get our rings engraved. Unfortunately, mine only has a small engravable section, so he’s going to get my e-ring engraved instead. It’s white gold, so we’re also getting it re-plated so it’s all bright and shiny for the wedding next weekend!

I love my e-ring, too, but I’ve been dying to wear my wedding band out in public since we picked it up last month. Nope, don’t mind subbing out one piece of bling out for the other AT ALL.

You’re just going to have to trust me that the e-ring and the wedding band look fab together.

Have you had to go without your engagement ring either to get it resized or for some other reason? Did you have a stand-in or go out bare-fingered?

That ring is beautiful! I don’t know if I’ll be able to have a wedding band :( because my ring is custom and a peek-a-boo diamond was added on each side. Then again, we haven’t met with the jewler yet. Right now if I go to the gym I go bare-fingered because I don’t want to possibly lose the ring while flopping around in the workout class, but eventually I’ll get a simple band for those kind of situations. Camping with a diamond? I don’t think so!

I LOVE IT! I mean, hey, that’s a nice ring :-P

I have a wooden e-ring that I wear on my other hand, so if something were to come up, I always have a back up. I would wear my wedding band, but I love it so much and wouldn’t want to take it off when the time came. So i’m saving it until 12/12.

It’s really beautiful. I’m dreading having to give up my e-ring the week and the half before the wedding to get all the bands soldered together. I’ll probably wear the promise ring my dad gave me at 16 to somewhat fill the hole my engagement ring will leave when it’s gone. Sniff.

Beautiful and so unique….I love it as well!!
I had to leave my ering to be polished the week of the wedding and they kept it all day…I didn’t have a stand-in and after all these months wearing it I felt lost without it. Now with it stacked with my wedding band it feels…well weird…really thick. I’m sure that will take some getting used to as well.

I love your wedding band! It’s so unique. I had to be without engagement ring for a week while it was getting resized (it was my Mother’s), it was hard, especially since I was newly engaged, and everyone wanted to see the ring, and I had nothing to show them. But all is well (and I totally wear my wedding band around the house when the Mr. isn’t home) :)

Your wedding band is so pretty :)
I had to go sans engagement ring for a day and a half while it was being re-sized. My finger was naked and I hated it haha

@Jessica — We purchased it from the Diamond Cellar, but I don’t know who the designer is. I’ll try my best to find out later this week when I take Mr. B’s ring in to get it engraved.

Love the ring. I have had to go without mine for sizing and then cleaning before the wedding. I certainly used a stand in ring so I didn’t notice it was missing as much. I sure loved my ring when it came back.

I love your ring!
I had my e-ring resized immediately, so for the first week of our engagement, my entire was skeptical that it was for real, since I didn’t have my ring at all!

@Tifany D.: @jessica: I’ve tried to find out the name of the wedding band designer, but no one seems to be sure. The suggestion of the woman I spoke to at Diamond Cellar was ArtCarved, but there’s no band similar to it on their web site. I’m sorry! Wish I could help more!
