What are some trends you’re seeing in bridesmaid dresses?
We’ve noticed that brides are allowing their bridesmaids a little more freedom in what they wear. Many brides recognize that one dress won’t flatter all of their bridesmaids, so the bride still picks the color and a length (for example, navy, cocktail-length), then allows the bridesmaids to choose the style that flatters them.

Bridesmaids wearing different shades in the same color family has also become really popular, like varying shades of pink. This works really well if you stay with the same fabrication.
Are there any colors that are particularly hot this season?
NAVY!!! It looks great on anyone and works well for any type of wedding. Plus, it’ll conceal any red wine/champagne spills.
Who are the best selling or most popular designers when it comes to bridesmaid dresses?
I’d have to say Vera Wang, Amsale, Nicole Miller, and ABS are bridesmaids’ first choices.
What are some of your favorite accessories to jazz up a little black dress?
I love to spice things up with bold heels – I’m a sucker for hot pink or red stilettos!
What types of fabric would you recommend for summer/winter?
Chiffon is perfect for summer because it’s light and has great movement (but it also works year round). Taffeta and thicker fabrics are really best for fall/winter.
One of the biggest challenges we hear from brides is finding something fashionable for their mothers to wear. What styles do you recommend for mothers of the bride so they don’t show too much skin or don’t look too matronly?
Tadashi is our favorite MOB designer. They take of-the-moment trends and translate them for a more mature customer. This gorgeous lace number with rosette detail is a perfect example – it has great arm coverage but still has a fashion-forward look.

Some Quick Tips for Brides-to-Be and Guests!
BRIDES-TO-BE
For your Bridal Shower…
Go with a fun color for summer like yellow, and a great bright (e.g. cobalt) for fall/winter. It’s more unexpected than white.

GUESTS
For a Destination Wedding…
If your bride’s getting married in a sun-soaked locale, stick to cottons or chiffons that are light and airy, and go for color and print!

For a Semi-formal Wedding…
We’re in love with a great maxi for summer, and short cocktail dresses are perfect all year round.
